Thanks, Candy... I wasn't sure but I thought I heard that he was. This is a huge plus, IMHO.

I truly hate to be the monkey in the wrench, but I just saw an interview with Mizzell that came across as decidedly meh, regarding his interest in UF. He said that he grew up a Gator fan, but that that was no longer a factor in choosing a school. He went on to say that he will make a decision solely based on what he considers to be in his best interests - in the here and now. That's all fine and good, of course. But when asked why he was considering UT, he was effusive in his praise of their offense (will score lots of points on everybody) and how well it would suit his skill set. He also spoke about his relationship being really good with the UT staff. When asked about UF, he talked more about how Mullen pretty much ignored him and then totally bungled a visit in which they didn't seem to know much about him and did not make an offer. He did make a few polite remarks about BN and the future at UF, but his level of enthusiasm was distinctly underwhelming. All this could mean absolutely nothing, and we very well may land him in the end. But thinking this kid is "in the bag" is premature at best. Just sayin.'

saw the same interview. Not a slam dunk to UF if you ask me.

 

Believe it or not, there are other sources of information available to just about anyone who cares to avail himself of them. Admittedly though, I am the only one to react to the interview as not being all that reassuring about Mizell being a slam dunk. Not that you actually care one way or the other about the substance of my post. Just saying.

Addendum: It turns out that my take on the interview was not a total outlier after all. I stand corrected.

 

BN can do nothing about the previous staff. All he can do is assure him UF is in better hands. But if the kid is going to hold that against us, there is nothing we can do.

 

Maybe it's Kentuckys turn. Kirby has lost to Florida, Tennessee,South Carolina and Vanderbilt in the East.
