I’m not a D and would be happy to see them all shot to Uranus. So in the pre-coup era, I’d be on board with this take. I literally wrote my dog in for both Bush (Dubya) and Obama 2. He didn’t make it to Trump. RIP Moo Goo The Magnificent (friends called him Moogie.)

All these other concerns you have are moot once the US goes Full Russia, or whatever all too real dystopia you prefer as an example.

How this isn’t important to you is as absurd to me as you find my attention to it. I literally can’t think of something more important to the entire idea of being able to pursue a decent existence.

How does watching this effect your life personally?

If you don't watch it, how does it effect you negatively?

If I "don't care" to sit here and watch it unfold and are just interested in the end result, what does the former have over me in this situation?

Nothing... and I didn't say its not important. I clearly said I hope Trump is banned from office due to what happened. However, I am not spending any significant amount of time watching it. You do realize that a significant portion of what comes from our government and news organizations is chereographed bullshit to appease the simpletons who cant be bothered to properly vet both sides of an argument, right? So again, I ask why is it important to watch this dog and pony show when you can figure out the ending when it happens and at a minimum, what you're listening to is at least 50% bullshit lies and rhetoric? All of which is conjured by immoral lawyers and politicians trying to sway public opinion in their favor...

If you have not watched one minute of the hearings, how do you know it’s a dog and pony show :emoji_thinking:

Everything involving politics is a dog and pony show.

This idea of BAU just simply isn’t true. This is next level. I saw Pence’s staff running for their lives. I saw Hawlin’ ass. I heard straight from POTUS appointees. I saw Trump himself refuse to agree to continue the country.

I have zero love for any of the people mentioned. I have a Coast to Coast t-shirt. George Noory really missed the boat, he wasn’t serious enough. Alex Jones not only makes a mint, he actually directs the thought of half of the republic-for-now.

How you write this off as usual is not believable to me. Sorry, I doubt your sincerity.

Kind of hard to have a rational conversation when you continue to put words in my mouth.

Once again I clearly said - now multiple times - that Trump should be prosecuted or at least banned from being president due to his (non) actions that day.

So please show me where I said this was "BAU". I've never said ANY president has done anything significant enough to be charged and/or banned from being re-elected before Trump. That in and of itself means that if I think its a big deal and he should be handled properly.

What you seem to be missing is that I'm only talking to the people who think this whole show is 'required' viewing. Nothing our corrupt government has ever done or said is important enough for any of you to try to look down upon others who don't want to watch all the bullshit. If you aren't one of those people, you shouldn't have anything to say to me.

If watching political crap and listening to liars all day tickles your giggleberries, by all means, do you.

Well, first, it’s a discussion board, and your posts are “public.” That means I can chime in. You can end our exchange at any point.

I also don’t understand the “irrational” charge. You don’t like what I’m saying, and that’s also full go here, but how am I being irrational?

And my characterization of BAU stands. You are attempting to create an impossibly narrow funnel to avoid criticism, also your prerogative. Mine is to call that what I belive it is, and that’s to diminish the importance of what is being presented at these hearings.

Ironically, and sure to please you, I doubt many people pay attention to politics at all. Thus the “low information voter” both parties accuse the others of exploiting, and success of authoritarians like Trump to succeed at the highest level. Then he capitalizes on it by counting on continued apathy.

You keep saying you’re all for Dump Trump and I agree. But you are framing it like it’s the same as jetting any other failed POTUS and these hearings are meaningless. Just another “dog and pony show.” You also call them all liars. In this case it is almost exclusively witnesses, not politicians. You can dismiss people who felt like death was imminent, or that they felt the country itself was under fire, or felt that POTUS was unhinged, also all your choice. I do not dismiss all those people in the same way.

This is different, and it’s foundational.

If the simpletons don’t watch the dog and pony show. They will still worship Trump and long for the days of yore when campaign commercials and debates didn’t interrupt their television viewing.

Anyone see irony in poster saying "You do realize that a significant portion of what comes from our government and news organizations is chereographed bullshit to appease the simpletons who cant be bothered to properly vet both sides of an argument, right?" But then absolutely refusing to get his own info from the hearing and claiming it's not worthwhile?

I think nature is trying to tell us they do not agree with his stewardship of the Florida environment. They have ways of communicating

    Bizarre standard.

It’s not supposed to result in an indictment, it’s meant to inform. If any indictments arise, they will come from the DOJ.

Benghazi was made up BS. There were several similar attacks on US targets under Bush with no uproar. And neither Obama nor Clinton obstructed the investigation. Clinton testified for hours because she had nothing to hide.

On the other hand, we ALL saw what Trump and his thugs did trying to destroy our democracy simply because they couldn't handle losing by 8 million votes. Both he and his cronies have tried to obstruct the committee's work by refusing to cooperate. Finally, some in the inner circle have come forward, despite the pressure from Trump and his thugs.

That's because you are so disrespectful to anyone here who disagrees with you. You are the cause of it, not others.
