I put this together the other day. I called it my optimistic, but realistic mock class: QB: Marcus Stokes RB: Treyaun Webb Slot: Eugene Wilson, Creed Whittemore Outside WR: Aiden Mizell, Andy Jean, Tyree Patterson TE: None OT: Bryce Lovett, Cam Jones IOL: Knijeah Harris, ?, ? No idea on the other 2 slots here. 1-Technique DT: Jordan Hall, John Walker 3-Technique DT: Will Norman, Kamran James SDE: TJ Searcy, Gavin Hill WDE: Isaiah Nixon LB: No clue, looking bad right now. Try to flip the South Carolina commits maybe. S: Jordan Castell, Aaron Gates, Dequavious Sorey CB: Cormani McClain, Sharif Denson, Ja’Keem Jackson
Pretty sure you're kidding, but, it does highlight the point that more than a few people here have really short memories and act like there's nothing happening. Florida 2023 Football Commits
FWIW, I'm high on Patterson, Whittemore, Lovett, and Knijeah Harris based on when we were willing to take their commitments. Those guys typically drag our average down, but early on they were takes for our coaching staff, showing they didn't view them the same way the recruiting services did. I expect all of them to be really solid players for us. And I really like the 5 WRs it looks like we are going to take. Really solid group, and I think we beat out UGA and Miami for a lot of those guys. If you understand that Patterson and Whittemore were our earliest takes out of the group and then the other 3 are very highly touted players it means for the most part we landed the guys near the top of our board at that position. And they all have different skill sets.
I'm not sure hat exactly you are talking about.....but we got 4 commits in July and 4 others in the last half of June if that's what you are looking for
July 7 was when these guys started popping. Just thought we would have a couple more between then and now.
Why not? All it takes is one big fan, right? Crazy to think that these guys would give up elite schools for a little bit more money up front.
Regarding LeBlanc and Walker, I'm not betting on either but counting on getting three of Kelby Collins, LeBlanc, Walker, Jordan Hall, Will Norman and Kamran James. Is that realistic? Can either Searcy or Hill grow into DTs?
One possible option if we whiff on LBs is moving Devin Moore to OLB. I remember reading that he was sort of a tweener and a very hard hitter. Better still, scout like hell during the fall and find some quality three star LBs who fit UF's scheme.
We need to chase that new kid that just overtook Manning as the number one QB for 2023. I think his name is Malachi Nelson. Go Gators.
FYI, Manning is still the number one prospect with 247, Rivals and On3. Not sure that ESPN is even relevant with their recruiting coverage these days.
