Politics aside, what a complete embarrassment of a putz he is.

There are plenty of good arguments on either side of the abortion debate beyond “she looks like a thumb”

Id prefer our politicians (and Gaetz actually represents our beach place) utilize one of them rather than just continue a race to the bottom by making fun of someone’s physical appearance, which is a personal taboo for me (especially by someone who is under investigation for sex trafficking women).

Like I said, he’s a putz who putzes around in garbage and not a serious politician. .

 

It's emotional and childish vilification in any form. I think people lower themselves to mock Trump physically because they hear his comments and see his mimics of others and respond in kind. Taking the high road or not stooping to another's level has gone by the wayside it seems. Sad that I know you are but what am I has become the normal way people communicate politics.

The obvious problem with Gaetz is he is an elected representative. It's embarrassing and shameful that he has such a lack of discretion not to mention his line of reasoning itself is beyond childish.

 

Maybe Gaetz thought that his appearance at the conference would provide him with the opportunity to hook up with one of the younger and presumably attractive female attendees.

I suspect that the posters that think Gaetz’s comments were funny wouldn’t be giving Brad Pitt a run for his money.

 

I did find his comment funny and completely wrong.

Thumbs need as much BC as possible. There are far more thumbs in this country than Brad Pitts. 73% overweight and 42% obese.

Personal anecdote: I have a 28 year old stepdaughter. By all metrics she is a thumb.
Overweight/obese
poor personal hygiene
poor domestic skills - can't cook, lazy, keeps a dirty home
poor emotional skills
poor intelligence skills

(i had zero to do with here upbringing and is the complete opposite of her mother)

Yet she has a child, has had 2 abortions and 2 miscarriages that I am aware of.

My point being that despite not having much to offer a potential mate she is getting laid.

People make much fun of Donald Trumps vanity, not necessarily his appearance. I guess the “tiny hands” thing is a physical attribute. The fake tan and crazy hair are choices he makes for his image, and vain choices at that.

I think it’s somewhat fair game to make fun of vanity, like when a person (man or woman) clearly has overdone plastic surgery or sports some ridiculous spray tan or spends way too much time in a tanning booth. This is much different from mocking an average person for their weight or something like that, something to do with natural appearance.

I think Trump obviously asks for it because he mocks women almost relentlessly, that’s one of his go-to’s when a woman crosses him, to try and target something about her appearance or womanhood.
