Not all along. Once the virus mutated for Delta. And they reported that people with Delta were getting infected. And, prevention of serious illness is still a public health mandate. The presence of immunity is what forced the virus to mutate to a form that evades immunity and into the less virulent forms and the vaccines prevent serious illness.

So let me get this straight. The US Gov’t will let millions of unvaccinated illegals stream across the border and buy them plane tickets to anywhere they want to go, but they won’t let the world’s best tennis player come to New York and compete in the US Open?

    This is a national disgrace.

That post is a disgrace. A filthy cocktail of false equivalency, hyperbole and misrepresentation of current law.

Please go ahead and get this straight. Go do a little research for yourself beyond Tucker, Gateway and Western J. and you won't end up as embarrassed.

What part of illegal immigrants being allowed in without the vaccine is false.

So looking at the Icelandic study,
Icelandic Meds Agency reports 11 serious C19 vax adverse events in children, while ZERO Icelandic children hospitalized due to C19 through 1st 3 waves. I posted the data 2 days ago.

Co worker of mine is pretty frustrated with his family's recent and ongoing experience with covid. He is staunchly against vaccines. He and his wife have been on antibiotics for pneumonia but the treatments failed so they are calling it viral pneumonia. His young daughter is on multiple breathing treatments 2 weeks post covid diagnosis now as well. I don't recall if they had covid during other waves but they didn't handle this latest infection well and any longterm lung damage for his daughter is obviously unknown at this time. Maybe it's a rarity but just pointing out that it's not absolute that kids handle covid well.

This cannot be true. It has been stated emphatically by multiple non-expert posters that children do not get sick from the SARS-Cov-2 virus.

My Grandma and Grandpa both have it right now. They are both in their 80s. He currently has brain and lung cancer. Recently she has fallen numerous time and broken ribs and one of her lumbar vertebrae. Both are in the hospital currently due to severe weakness and coughing. Send some good vibes my way please.

G-d should bless them with a speedy recovery. I don’t get what the parents have: they didn’t test for COVID?

You are making comments without even knowing if the child has Covid. What a joke.

It is often referred to as reading comprehension, I wish more people on this board would practice it off-line, then come back and post.

How do you know it’s Covid if they never got tested like he posted.

They had covid as well but developed pneumonia. Dr prescribed antibiotics in case they had bacterial pneumonia secondary to covid but after 2 failed courses they are calling it viral pneumonia. That's how I understood it as it was explained to me anyway.

They got tested and had covid. Look I have never been extreme on either end of this. I was against shut downs and preferred sheltering high risk patients. I was never against vaccines and still think they provided benefit. I understand n95 mask use and think they are beneficial in settings but also think surgical masks especially when not worn properly are often more theater than anything. I've never protested any business or personal request to west a mask because it's not that big a deal. All I have generally contributed here is anecdotal evidence which has contradicted much of what some people claim here. I have always acknowledged the risks are low for young healthy people but not zero and the virus has randomly devastated people's lives. That's all.
