Buy a gun safe before yours end up on the street. It is irresponsible to own guns and not have them safely secured. If you can afford the guns, you can afford the safe

Truthfully it solves nothing. Criminals won’t register and people that want do register won’t be dissuaded to not commit a crime just because a gun has been registered. So basically it’s just a way for the government to be a nuisance to normal folks like me.

Are you pro mass shootings then? Why would you need a 30 round magazine?

Yeah, just like those pesky car registrations. Let's do away with those too.

    Yep

The homeowner was alerted there were trespassers on his property by motion detectors outside his front door. A live video feed from his doorbell camera showed three armed men wearing tactical vests, t-shirts and jeans. Two appeared to be ATF agents. The third was a Delaware State Police trooper. None wore body cameras.

The older ATF agent told him they were assigned to a task force investigating straw purchases. A straw purchase – a federal felony – occurs when someone buys a firearm on behalf of another person, who is unable to legally purchase a firearm themselves.

The agent said they were verifying that people who bought multiple firearms still had the guns in their possession. The homeowner had bought seven firearms since January 2022.

Trooper – “The reason we’re out here is obviously gun violence is at an uptick. We want to make sure – we’ve been having a lot of issues with straw purchases. One of the things, indicators we get is someone making a large gun purchase, and then a lot of times we’ve been there and ‘Oh, those guns got taken.’”

Agent 1 – “The idea is that when you purchase more than two guns at a time it generates a multiple sales report and it comes to us and we have to check them out. That’s all that is. You did nothing wrong – absolutely zero. I noticed you were stopped in Philly though with one of your guns?”

What good are they if they are all in a safe? And what about when I carry and have to leave it in the car?

I think you may have misunderstood my post. I’m ok with ban over 15. That’s starting at 16. 30 is way more than 16.

Thanks. Sorry I got it wrong. But you did say,

"I’m against magazine capacity below 15 rounds."

That makes it sound like you're against limiting to 15 rounds.

I have no problem with guns being registered. To be honest I thought when you buy new guns they are. The last 4 I bought were registered at the gun shop, didn't have an option not to and went through a background check here in Florida

I'm against raising the age to 21, if we consider them adults at 18, let them vote then they should be allowed to purchase a gun like another adult. I think increased penalties for gun related crimes won't matter with felons.

But they are not too effective considering there's nothing stopping people from giving their firearms to close friends or relatives. A whole lot of guns are (probably) transferred that way. It's not hard to see how eventually they can end up in an irresponsible or malicious person's hands.

I'm here, I'm just always trying to grow and reconsider my views. I know I can be stubborn at times, but I also know that can run me into trouble. ;)

I really don't want gun confiscation. I just really want to try and keep guns out of the hands of bad people. I understand that this is a difficult balancing act.

That's nuts. So you figure cars shouldn't have license plates? We just shouldn't bother with keeping track of cars? How many criminals have gotten caught over the years because someone took their plate number down. Hit and runs, robberies, fleeing from all sorts of crimes.
