Same with Pell under Bryant. Only certain schools get to play the game or else....

Lol... I read that to say "squeaky clan" ...

Is the NCAA now looking at UGA? We all know about that diner in northern Georgia where bags of cash are ordered by recruits like a side of fries...

Their coach was losing games, so they tree him under the bus for doing what they hired him to do.

That’s what’s really wrong with college football. Corruption and favoritism, who gives a shit if a kid gets paid if it’s on the up and up.

I’m curious whether these things would be considered improper under today’s NIL rules.

They won’t do crap to Tennessee. I don’t know why this is even news.

if it was a miss state, sc, vandy, ole miss they would get the death penalty.

Yes and no, let’s not forget that the NCAA is the last organization that is in favor of NIL.

NIL is a political policy by the Feds whether you agree with it or not. Hell they might of used it as their one last chance to assert their desire.

The ncaa is just tge schools behind a mask. Of course they don’t want to pay. Room and board and education is waaaaaay cheaper.

Since 2008 when Fulmer was let go they have had 5 HCs. Only Kiffin and Heupel have had 1st year winning records. Both 7-6.

The challenge moving forward for TN will be not having any more violations. One NIL violation by a booster and they could have challenges. Will they take away Bowl eligibility due to infractions? Ships?

  16. Agree. Right now it appears the NCAA will be lenient since all the violations occurred under Pruitt and the university “punished itself” (whatever that means). With all the scrutiny on the program it will be hard to stay in the gray area of NIL like everyone else without getting caught.

Either way I doubt Tennessee gets slapped with any major punishments this year, which makes them a dangerous team for the Gators to underestimate.

First time I recall a coach's wife being a significant player in NCAA violations. Kind of funny.

I don’t know what’s more embarrassing: Getting caught cheating or putting up two losing seasons despite cheating.

    ET....God Bless your soul!
I dated a gal from Kingsport many years ago. She used to work for the State of Tennessee as a medical assistant. Her and a team of doctors, dentists, etc would drive up into the hills to provide medical and dental care to pockets of people who had no electricity and running water.
She told me there were massive signs of inbreeding.
