I addressed this earlier and take responsibility for the poor start. This was more about vaccine hesitancy. And while this person is older. The fact we have a first case in a decade brought the thought of why. Where did he get it. How many others have it. I think we are good for this to phase out with hopefully this one case. But if vaccine hesitancy grows. Which I fear. I think we will start seeing cases of diseases at levels we have not seen for a long time. And it was unnecessary. I hope I am wrong.
This is irrelevant to the guard soldiers not following orders from a year ago (when the shots were even more effective). How can the chain of command trust a guy to take a bullet when they refuse a painless jab? Answer: they can’t. Whatever their mental reasoning, those 15% simply can’t be relied on.
He went to Poland and Hungary. The link I posted suggested that based on the strain he likely got it in Europe. The CDC will trace this.
This is part of the problem. They were right. So who should be relied on. The authoritarians who said they were wrong or them. This is leadership failing. We are taking July 1, 2022 is when they were punished.
“vaccine hesitancy grows” because of Covid anti-vaxxers and those who besmirched the vaccine and booster. They have caused great harm. Maybe you can mock those who get the booster some more.
This joke would be even funnier if the Type 2 strain infection had not almost certainly originated in Europe.
Q's latest covid obsession is true idiocy. So, scaredy cats, are on the 1 hand sophisticated enough to realize that the covid vax was new & based on new science & rolled out fast, etc. etc. & this is given as a reason for their hesitancy of the Covid vax. OK, so far, so good. If they in fact can distinguish between tried & true & "experimental", why would there be a contagion effect wrt other vaxes? The same "logic" for why they are scared of the covid vax should mean they are not scared of vaxes that are tried & true. The whole "arg" falls apart. They either understand the distinction or they don't. This is what happens when you (Q) manically push a narrative. The FAR more obvious explanation is that covid lit a fuse for anti vaxers & yes, created first time anti vaxers that relentlessly pushed the anti vax narrative. People, especially your avg anti vaxer, are not sophisticated & can't distinguish between tried & true & experimental &, hence, it is the weirdly vocal anti covid vaxers that created the contagion effect that has created general vax hesitancy. DUH
I am not mocking anyone for the decision they make. I will mock (call out) leaders for damaging public health…
You have no clue. But carry on. My kids will continue to get vaccines on schedule. They will not be getting the current archaic Covid shot.
You should probably just start a new thread then. There is no logical connection between the story you started the thread with, an adult getting polio, and your claim that the medical establishment is at fault for the recent vaccine hesitancy (said vaccine hesitancy built mostly by people like you).
Lol... you victims still don't even know about SADS... I hope that NONE of you ever do find out about it. The covid-19 experimental drug is not like the polio vaccine... So there is NO comparing the the two. Polio vaccine Polio vaccines are vaccines used to prevent poliomyelitis. Two types are used: an inactivated poliovirus given by injection and a weakened poliovirus given by mouth. The World Health Organization recommends all children be fully vaccinated against polio.Wikipedia Trade names:Ipol, Poliovax, others
hmm so a group of people refuse vaccinations for no reason whatsoever? If you are accusing me of being antisemitic or racist, I would point out that in your description you said a pocket of Orthodox Jews don’t get vaccinated. Why did you mention there demographic if it had no bearing on their refusing immunizations. Do they go to public schools? If they do how do they fill out the card to refuse to vaccinate.
Why Measles Hits So Hard Within N.Y. Orthodox Jewish Community

Michelle Andrews March 11, 2019

The Rockland County, N.Y., woman hadn’t told her obstetrician that she had a fever and rash, two key signs of a measles Although some Orthodox Jews claim that vaccinations are against Jewish law, that’s not correct, said Dr. Aaron Glatt, who is also a rabbi and chairman of the department of medicine at South Nassau Communities Hospital on Long Island. “ so if you read further. They are claiming a religious exemption incorrectly claiming that the Torah is against vaccinations. We like to think of Jews as being monolithic but they aren’t. There are fringe groups that are antivaxx. Gosh it seems like they are like every other religious group.
So if I follow this thread correctly… We need to get rid of those in power that encourage vaccinations because they’ve eroded the publics trust in vaccines. We then need to replace them with people that don’t encourage vaccination, to rebuild the publics trust in vaccines. yeah, that sounds perfectly logical…
No. We need to get rid of those who coerced people (and advised those with the power to) to take a drug they did not need which has done generational damage to the trust in public health. A shot that does not work as it was sold. A shot that does not work now and archaic at this point.
I go to an orthodox synagogue. So don’t cast aspersions on me about identifying the demographic. I identified the demographic because when I read that the person lived in Rockland County and belonged to a demographic that doesn’t get vaccinated, I knew the group. Then I showed that the reasons that circulate in that group are not religious reasons, but disinformation about the vaccines. The reason for my post was simples: it addressed the premise of the OP; the failure to get the polo vaccine had nothing to do with the COVID vaccines. You would not, and still will not, accept that this has nothing to do with religious fundamentalism. You cannot set aside your views to accept a truth that contradicts your world view. It is the same thinking process as the vaccine ignorance you criticize. And you won’t let go of it. Truth is truth whether it is consistent with your world view or not.
Jewish law does not prohibit vaccines. I posted the Jewish law. People claiming a religious exemption are not claiming an exemption under law, but making it up. They are if intent of Jewish law or willfully disregarding it. I know Jews are not monolithic. I am Jewish. But, Jewish law is what it is. There is no source that makes vaccines illegal under law. It is. It fundamentalism to loose vaccines under Jewish law because there is no prohibition and it is required due to the duty to prevent damage.
And since we are talking about the polio vaccine, do you know why we take four of them? After only two polio shots, the vaccine is only about 50% effective.
I had no shots. I am old. I took several sugar cubes. Don’t remember how many and my parents are long gone to ask.
Anti-vaxers would embrace the concept of vaccination if only everyone would admit that their anti-vax stance is in fact correct. If there was a vax that would magically untwist the logic pretzel of this thread OP would only commit to take it after I admit that taking it is certain death, so under no circumstance should it be taken.
