I addressed this earlier and take responsibility for the poor start. This was more about vaccine hesitancy. And while this person is older. The fact we have a first case in a decade brought the thought of why. Where did he get it. How many others have it. I think we are good for this to phase out with hopefully this one case. But if vaccine hesitancy grows. Which I fear. I think we will start seeing cases of diseases at levels we have not seen for a long time. And it was unnecessary. I hope I am wrong.

OK, so far, so good. If they in fact can distinguish between tried & true & "experimental", why would there be a contagion effect wrt other vaxes? The same "logic" for why they are scared of the covid vax should mean they are not scared of vaxes that are tried & true. The whole "arg" falls apart. The FAR more obvious explanation is that covid lit a fuse for anti vaxers & yes, created first time anti vaxers that relentlessly pushed the anti vax narrative. So if I follow this thread correctly… We need to get rid of those in power that encourage vaccinations because they’ve eroded the publics trust in vaccines. No. We need to get rid of those who coerced people (and advised those with the power to) to take a drug they did not need which has done generational damage to the trust in public health. A shot that does not work as it was sold. A shot that does not work now and archaic at this point.
I go to an orthodox synagogue. So don’t cast aspersions on me about identifying the demographic. I identified the demographic because when I read that the person lived in Rockland County and belonged to a demographic that doesn’t get vaccinated, I knew the group. Then I showed that the reasons that circulate in that group are not religious reasons, but disinformation about the vaccines. The reason for my post was simples: it addressed the premise of the OP; the failure to get the polo vaccine had nothing to do with the COVID vaccines. You would not, and still will not, accept that this has nothing to do with religious fundamentalism. You cannot set aside your views to accept a truth that contradicts your world view. It is the same thinking process as the vaccine ignorance you criticize. And you won’t let go of it. Truth is truth whether it is consistent with your world view or not.
Jewish law does not prohibit vaccines. I posted the Jewish law. People claiming a religious exemption are not claiming an exemption under law, but making it up. They are if intent of Jewish law or willfully disregarding it. I know Jews are not monolithic. I am Jewish. But, Jewish law is what it is. There is no source that makes vaccines illegal under law. It is. It fundamentalism to loose vaccines under Jewish law because there is no prohibition and it is required due to the duty to prevent damage.
And since we are talking about the polio vaccine, do you know why we take four of them? After only two polio shots, the vaccine is only about 50% effective.

Anti-vaxers would embrace the concept of vaccination if only everyone would admit that their anti-vax stance is in fact correct. If there was a vax that would magically untwist the logic pretzel of this thread OP would only commit to take it after I admit that taking it is certain death, so under no circumstance should it be taken.
