Not really. The anti-vax movement is behind the resurgence of previously defeated diseases. Your COVID vax rants have nothing to do with this.
A single polio case that could have a dozen explanations turns into a rant about Covid, vaxing, Biden, illegal immigrants, and a link to school shootings. And you wonder why other folks on this site mock this forum. the crazy is strong here.
This is just beyond wrong and disingenuous. The point of this thread was to show we have caused a reduction in vaccines by pushing shots the wrong way. You might disagree. But I have always been in support of vaccines. Even the Covid shot for the high risk groups when they first came out. Some of you have told yourselves I hold a different position than I do. That is propaganda working.
It could. Yet the major point is that we have far fewer kids receiving their vaccines. Now it is not all on the moronic public health response. But that is a major driver for this real problem.
The massive drop in childhood vaccinations has nothing to do with how we pushed out Covid shots? We will certainly disagree there.
The "science alert" website misquotes the UNICEF position. I am shocked. edit: I misread the first sentence in the article posted by Q. The Science Alert website accurately represents the UNICEF report.

I wasn't saying that vaccination rates haven't dropped. I'm saying it has little to do with the COVID vax (which you would see too if you actually read the UNICEF report and the NYT article you posted).
No. I posited that in the OP. I linked an article about the first case in decades and then posited that our response is a big reason why we have seen a drop in childhood vaccinations (there are certainly other reasons as well). I might be wrong. And of course there are other reasons the polio case could have happened. I should have titled the thread “Polio/Vaccine Hesitancy?”…which I have changed it to. Again. If you think coercing people to take the Covid shot. Especially young healthy people has not been a detriment to vaccines with good long standing track records…we will just disagree.
I think we are attributing the vaccine misinformation to opposite people/orgs and that's where this disconnect is.
I won’t comment on the deranged internet science opinions. But I do need to point out that the vaccine was pushed, created and approved under the TRUMP administration, not the “Dems,” and thus regardless how inconvenient that reality may be, it is an undeniable fact that even Gateway cannot disclaim.
And I am saying that people who have propagated against the Covid Vaccine have scared people from using vaccines. Anti-Vaxers are dangerous to the public health.
