No . . . @doctorg8r isn't a senior just yelling at clouds for days remembered. I read a good distinction between sports players and first responders since you raised the issue of comparable pay. @doctorg8r just added the military. I say it isn't even close. We could do completely without sports but not doctors and first responders (or the military). However, since this is starting to venture into territory that will get us sent to Too Hot . . . let's stop for now. OK?

 

I don't agree with this. I mean, I know CFB is evolving but yea, no. This would be a bit much. Won't be mad if it DOES happen, but I just wouldn't cosign this

 

We needs some sound restrictions on transfers... Especially freshman that have signed right out of high school and decide to transfer before his freshman season has even begun. Although the bag-men from Tennessee UGA and other schools will hate that kind of lack of restrictions on freshman. So... maybe it's not as bad as it sounds.

 

That would be crazy...kid can transfer after each game or maybe he could transfer and play for the other team after half time.

If you listen to one of his past videos he was waiting for the Gators' job to open up... He even turned down other SEC opportunities to interview just so he could get the chance to coach the Gators.

I remember reading after he turned down Auburn and South Carolina that Saban had advised him to wait for someone like Florida if it becomes available.

 

I don’t agree with most of what is happening in cfb but nobody has asked me. This seems like a logical extension. Coaches can leave without penalty why can’t players?

 

I mean isn't the coaches leaving penalized by buyouts, etc?

But yes, I think if they go this route, and I haven't fully read the article, but they need to do away with putting restrictions on inter-conference/division transfers too.

Its sad but I can now envision one day where I actually miss watching games, and not caring at all. Even two years ago, that would have never even crossed my mind as a possibility. But this spiral of CFB is not going in the right direction, and if they don't get some guidelines that make sense in place, the game is in trouble.

This will probably be the last year that I will enjoy the college football. The game I grew up loving is dying before my eyes. It’s sad really. Now I live in the Greenville area of South Carolina so I don’t even have salt water fishing to spend my Saturdays

 

What do you think we have been watching for the last decades? This is just more of the same old shit. I guess everybody has to face reality now so it’s a bad thing. Nobody wins seven championships in 12 years if they aren’t buying talent
