DeSantis uses federal COVID-19 relief funds to send nearly 60,000 Florida families a $450-per-child check to 'offset the costs of rising inflation' thoughts?
So far as I can tell, DeSantis' position is: All this government spending is causing inflation! Here's some government money to offset inflation, please like me!
funny. i get the feeling if this were newsom, whittmer, even cuomo if he were still in office people here would be applauding great humanitarian efforts. but it is desantis so of course everyone hates on him, imagine if word got out he had the funds and did not do this, all hell would break loose here.
Those states got the money too and I assume they distributed it. Did anyone come here and post about how wonderful they were? The media is trying to make DeSantis happen, and you posted an article that is basically a PR release for him.
It's a Republican tradition, not unlike the Republican members of Congress who took credit for infrastructure projects in their districts even though they voted against the infrastructure bill. Waiting for a rating of "Off-topic" even though it's a perfectly valid analogy.
Not sure whether you're serious or not but I'll play the game anyway. Funds to help offset the cost of childcare actually provide an incentive for parents of young children to get jobs although $450 would barely provide enough for a single month and realistically only two or three weeks of daycare in most cases.
Haven't you guys been blaming inflation on the stimulus checks? So now the story is DeSantis gave out more stimulus checks to offset inflation? LOL.
funny, if as some say that is biden stimulus money he is giving away must be biden's fault for making it available, but of course all the libs will pile on desantis saying he is encouraging inflation.
You’re right. It is funny. Because Newsom’s state is a net giver. So… it’s kinda like DeSantis sent out Newsom dollars. LOL
