I wish he had done more. No doubt. I just think he is an important person for this time. He is creating some cracks. If thats all he ever does, it will still be important.

Freedoms enshrined in the constitution can be subjective and it gets convoluted when one freedom infringes on another.

The rule of law? You think the dems arent putting shady characters out there that break laws?

DeSantis is a hard core conservative. Probably to the right of even me.

I would take him in a heartbeat over the last two clowns.

Well I started this thread and I cheered his impeachment and I've cheered every conservative that dares go against him.

So start there for the accolades that you may have missed. ;)

Oh. I get that the term is subjective. I was just using it in the broad sense of people on the right opposing Trumps claim.

Pence actually has worse policy than Trump. He’s just not a criminal traitor psychopath that would like to see the US implode just for kicks. He gets some credit for that though in my book although he didnt seem to have the courage to call out Trump.

The survey obtained by The Hill was conducted by Tony Fabrizio, who polled for the former president’s 2020 campaign.

In the poll, Trump gets the favorable ratings of 81 percent of voters who are registered Republicans or affiliate as Republicans, while 88 percent said they approved of the job Trump did as president.

In a potential 2024 GOP primary, Trump gets the support of 51 percent of GOP voters. No other potential candidate breaks double digits in the survey.

Trump is trailed by former Vice President Mike Pence at 9 percent, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 7 percent, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley at 6 percent and Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah) at 5 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) comes in last of the contenders polled with 3 percent.

I get a creepy vibe from Pence. Don't know why, exactly. Maybe it's his rather flat affect. Maybe it was watching 4 years of his oily unctuousness towards Trump. I don't understand how he put his vaunted morality, ethics, decency and religion on hold for so long in service to a man who would seem to be his very antithesis.
