Mayorkas claims southern border 'is secure' as historic migrant crisis rages wow, guess we have 2 different definitions of secure, only 1.75 million so far with 3 months to go. drink that kool-aid libs
So yeah, this means a lot people didn't get caught. Good try. Report: Just 68% of Illegal Border Crossers Get Caught
And? We probably spend more on securing that border than any other country spends on their borders. What’s your proposal? Spend even more? I would make legal entry and work visas more accessible, and then put harder penalties on company owners who are still caught using illegal worker, I’m taking prison time for repeat offenders.
And we don't have close to the most secure border. You were way off on that statement. Besides that, good job.
That's an estimate from a model, and we know that you are famously averse to data forecasting when it comes to elections. Not going to apply your skepticism here?
What are you taking about? I never said we have the most secure border. I’m saying we probably spend more on that border than any country would to secure a border … and it’s barely working. Time to change the tactic. Let a lot more in legally and put the employers who still hire illegals in prison for a while.
I don't want to hear about a border unless there is a plan to fix immigration. Republicans shouldn't be blaming Biden. They should be blaming John Boehner
When, in our history, has our Southern border been "secure?" Hint, the answer starts with N and ends with ever. Traditionally, since the 1970's, we've caught only about 33% of those trying to enter. If that number is currently doubled, then we have the most secure border in our history.
The border between Gitmo and the rest of Cuba is nice and secure. Also, Micronesia, and all other island countries have a secure border.
True, you gotta keep people from escaping our gulags / torture facilities, and I doubt many Cubans care to visit
Not the US. I'd throw out Israel's West bank wall, Vatican City, Korea's demilitarized zone, India/Bangladesh border fence, Saudi Arabia/Iraq border just to name a few. I could keep going if you want.
Armed guards on both sides and heavy patrols. You'd be surprised. One of the most interesting places I've been.
