remember for vowels, it is A,E,I,O,U and sometimes Y. So he has 2 vowels in his name. I am confused. People on this forum had been asking for a big. Then they get one and not everybody is happy.
Who’s not happy? I don’t remember any of those posts. However, it’s unlikely that he comes in and starts kicking butt right away. He has a lot to work on, IMO (based on one half of a game), so he might be more advanced than I think he is.
Not sure we ever saw anything from Drejer that that would lead anyone use the word “beast” to describe his play but maybe I wasn’t looking close enough. At the same time, I agree it would have been fun to watch Drejer drive to the basket had he actually done so but despite the offense running through him at the point-forward spot, Drejer way too often shied away from doing so. Unfortunately, about the only thing Drejer “accomplished” in his season and a half in Gainesville was to go down as one of the most disappointing players Donovan ever coached.
Hair Drejer was actually just beginning to play like we expected when he vamoosed into the night. He had a game against Ole Miss where he had 10 assists. Anyhow, I expect Mr. Syzzyxyszzbk (sp?) to be more of a slightly bigger Erik Murphy. The "slightly bigger" will give more low-post scoring chances. But he'll need some time to develop like most freshmen.
He was called, "The Danish Daisy" back then. I don't think he expected the game here to be as physical as it was.
Guys relax, Aleksander is skilled at shooting 3’s, add block shots and can work around the basket. What’s not to like? This kid is not a stiff and is going to surprise. So welcome the young man for coming out of his country to America and dedicated to getting better. CTG has hit it on recruiting as good as any coach we have ever had. Go Gators!
In defense of Drejer… he suffered an awful ankle injury that actually got worse. It really derailed his career at Florida. Granted, it doesn’t excuse quitting mid season… but he had some real injury hardship.
because the feds have testimony of of agents working with Kansas coaches to steer players their way. Bill Self is so arrogant and Kansas we don’t care, we are giving Self a lifetime contract, Kansas officials saying to the NCAA. Kansas should be on probation, at least one year no NCAA tournament, two scholarships taken away for two years. The NCAA is worthless letting them get away for two or three years with no sanctions. Kansas must have something on the officials at the NCAA, like LSU.
I am really excited about the Aleksander signing. It is definitely a different time in signing overseas talent and I think this is a great use of one last scholarship. That being said - I can't ever forgive the Danish Daisy for bailing on his team in the middle of the night. This sums it up about the Daisy:
And see NC basketball under Roy Boy as well. The NCAA manages to be gutless, incompetent and exhibit the worst tendencies of a large bureaucracy all at the same time. “Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
I agree with oldatlantagator, good last scholarship pull. Big enough to get some rebounds and he can shoot the three. 6’11” 240 lbs., like Tampajack says, he has a lot to work on. He is young and is only going to get better. The other two PF ‘s better bring it because Aleksander is not coming here to just ride the bench!
