The Good Samaratin violated the policies of the private business he was visiting by having a gun on the premises.

Wrap your brain around that one.

I thought it was about limiting as many deaths as possible?

This man limited the amount of lives taken by this shooter.

    November last year…

“ARVADA, Colo. — Officials with the First Judicial District Attorney's Office released new footage this week showing the actions of John Hurley, a Good Samaritan who was shot and killed by Arvada police after Hurley fatally shot a suspect who had just gunned down an officer in Olde Town Arvada in June.”

I applaud law-abiding citizens taking action in a mass shooting scenario. In addition to the risk facing off with a nut bag with superior firepower there’s the risk the cops think you’re the target.

    Terrible joke.

Guns are no joking matter....but I get it....this story doesn't fit the left's narrative so they are free to joke and dismiss this event.

if we were limiting as many deaths possible, everyone would have enjoyed their day at the mall and went home to their families. 4 people didn’t, and two others are in the hospital.
And before the “we can’t stop every death” response, compare our gun deaths to every other comparable country economically and culturally on earth. It’s an embarrassment, so celebrating only four people dying because another gun stopped them just doesn’t seem worth celebrating. But in the crazy world we are in, the guy did the right thing.

Are you saying gun control will prevent all gun deaths?

Or are you saying that gun control will limit deaths?

If it's the former you are just wrong. If it's the latter then you should be able to see how this good Samaritan limited gun deaths and you should be praising him instead of dismissing his brave actions.

You seem to be talking in circles.

Japan must have a shitload of good samaritans with guns. They only had 1 gun death in 2021. either that or they are gunless & living in a Marxist hell.

So even in a gunless Marxist hell hole there are still gun deaths....interesting point.

he limited a shootout in a public mall to four deaths and two injured. If you view that as a victory, then you and I have different definitions of winning. I will leave it there.

This brings up the same question I have asked in the last couple of mass shootings. Why are the shooters always young men/boys?

The worst one was that Vegas shooting, that was an old man. He was an outlier.

A lot of the younger ones seem to be copycats from prior mass shooters, even part of sick/twisted online communities that glorify mass shootings or even try to livestream them. I’ve always assumed most of them would have just killed themselves, but they find these sick communities online that warp them into mass killers.

Yes having 1 gun death vs 30,000 gun deaths is basically the same thing and are equally bad.

    Brilliant.

I think it was snark. gunless & gun deaths are incompatible. I guess it's a sick burn in scaredy cat world.

Gun nuts mad everyone isn’t fawning over this story lol…just because you have such pitifully low standards for living in a decent society doesn’t mean everyone else does

Nobody is dismissing his actions. They were admiralable for the situation he was in. You’re jumping for joy while missing the real story. Another mass shooting.

We’re losing a war of 20,000 innocent’s deaths a year while you celebrate one enemy combatant taken out of field. While you celebrate arming more and more people and gun ownership has risen, murder by firearm is up 25% over five years and 43% over ten.

But, sure. Tell us how we’re talking in circles while you sell the cure to the problem you’re fostering.
