I wouldn't be excited about these guys that are probably being pushed out. I'd rather look for the top performing DL in smaller programs and have someone "inquire" about his interest. Or see if some come up from coaching changes.

Seems hard to find OL and DTs that aren't getting playing time to become productive transfers.

Mullen and Co had slow starts, tried to finish well but usually could not. Their 2019 class was particularly disappointing a season or two later.
How many of that class were on roster two seasons what would be their fall arrival? Not so many.

I'm preaching to the choir but this was a recruiting win that UF really needs.............. maybe it's not over.

Lol I knew it wasn't for me, it was for what the tweets said. Losing out on McClain would be a death blow to this bump class no matter how you spin it. Let's keep it real, AT THIS MOMENT, we don't have any legit traction with another other 5* kid or are seen as a leader with any of the top 100 kids outside of Mizell and we know that's partially due to his legacy status with UF.

Gotta show A LOT on the field this upcoming season if we want to grab the attention of any of these top end kids. 9+ wins and winning push games against LSU and at A&M will go a long way. We can't think kids will jump on board/flip if our 4 losses are to Tennessee, UGA, LSU, and A&M. Def have to go .500% or better against those 4 teams

I sure hope Cormani decides on UF, for all the reasons you give.

I consider this recruiting battle to be darn close to the importance of the Tebow, UF / BAMA battle.

 

Time to bite the ol lip and do whatever has to be done. It’s not that his talent is a make or break for us, we just have to start winning some battles. …

The really sad part is Bama wants him but he is just a blip in their 5 star class and they would move on and never miss him...for us it is of utmost importantce.

If it meant giving us some depth I’d be good. We are one injury away on the DL from big trouble. Thin isn’t the word fir our DL situation as we are beyond thin. Two freshman will have to play significant snaps this year.

 

Remember, we do not need an all SEC performer as we already have one of those in Dexter. We just need one more guy to eat up 10 or 15 snaps in support of Humphries, Lee, Watson and McClellan. Lyons May have to play. If I’m leaving somebody out please remind me. I know Sapp can slide inside But he’s not big enough to stay there
