I'll vent when I feel like it. Don't like it? There's a block function.

To say miami brought in a couple of IMG guys is dishonest. 9 of 14 are from Florida. One is an IMG OL we wanted, not from Florida. That they kept him from returning to California contributes to my point, not yours. It is relevant to our recruiting that many schools are getting commits from top Florida talent. But, if you wish to talk about miami only, go ahead, have at it. They have commits from five states not named Florida and some top talent leaning their way.

We are all allowed to pay players now. The "$$$" is an excuse. But even if we want to use money as an excuse, how do you reconcile this "But Rashada, a rising senior from Pittsburg, Calif., passed up an even more lucrative offer from University of Florida supporters, according to On3. That deal would’ve been worth $11 million, multiple sources told On3" Report: Miami QB Recruit Agrees to $9.5 Million NIL Deal - Sports Illustrated We offered $1.5 million more and he went to weak-facilities miami? The "we haven't been relative in a while" excuse doesn't hold water when a recruit chooses 80s era miami over UF. At least we have played for the league championship in the past decade.

I'm thinking that come early signing day that 7 will still be in the top 12 and maybe more.

While good for the SEC, it still concerns me because I was hoping CBN could vault UF into the top 3 of SEC teams, which, by implication would put us somewhere awful close to top 5.

I don't want to beat this drum to loud because it just may not be fair to CBN and UF, this particular year.

Several of our prestigous posters have suggested it may not be a typical "bump" year given CBN previous stops and of course NIL and that some kids, parents and handlers wish to see the finished product perform on the field before pulling the trigger, which is a coherent argument IMO.

I think we ALL are pleased with the staff hires and the work effort of the entire recruiting staff so far. Coach gets more "polished" every time he speaks or releases information.

It would be nice if the staff could get Cormani to give us a verbal, I think that would help UF pick up steam again, but considering he is #2 that is a big "if". Hopefully it happens.

    Go Gators!!

6 of the 14 are from Florida. None of their img commits are from Florida.

I reconcile it by calling BS. There is NO WAY that one of our collectives offered that kid $11MM. Not buying it.

Correct and of those 6 only 4 are from Miami. And 3 of those 4 are rated in the bottom 5 or so of that class. Nathaniel Joseph is the highest rated and he is only yhe 7th best in the class. Miami is doing a great job building this class but let's be honest it consists of mercenaries from coast to coast and only.a small portion from their own market at the moment.

Id bet my life we didn’t offer Rashada that type of money. If we were throwing that kind of cash around, we would be signing top 100 players.

Yeah my guess is CBN had a value that he thought rashada was worth and and when the bidding exceeded that he backed out just like when the pros teams negotiate for a contract and if the negotiations get out of hand one side walks away.

Another question to ask is besides us and Miami , what other serious teams were battling for rashada's services? that itself could be a telling sign if nobody else wanted to get a bidding war for One of the last remaining uncommitted 5 star QB.

Supposedly but they haven't really spent much money this cycle the recruiting hasn't quite taken off just yet so they certainly had room so how much interest I'm not sure apparently not enough to get into a bidding war

At the time he was a 5 star but you are right I seen that he had dropped to a 4 star I seem to remember Miami fans getting mad about that as well.

Gentlemen, (and I feel that I'm not alone with this idea)...
But I truly feel that as the months pass that we will be able to see a more full picture of how this all shakes out.
What we see now in July may be a totally different picture than what we see in January.
BTW... I am totally on board on how Napier handled the situation with Rashada
    ...totally.
