Without looking it up, and just by blind reckoning, I'm going to guess it's pronounced "Sim-zick."

Your general tone and cadence is both familiar and hilarious. I suspect it may also be occasionally insightful, and always entertaining.

I hope that Szymczyk eventually plays as well as the probably oldest player with a name without a vowel, Bill Mlkvy, who played for the Temple Owls from 1949 through 1952, and was known as "the Owl without a Vowel". Mlkvy was a consensus All America and led the NCAA in scoring in one season.

Big guy that can clog up the middle on defense, grab rebounds, and stretch the floor with 3 point shooting is ok in my book. Not the fastest feet out there, but hey I like the pickup. Worst case is insurance policy depth at center. Makes me sleep well at night knowing we wouldn’t need to start a wide-bodied 6’6” guy at center or backup center.

    Per Game:

    6 Points
    4 Rebounds
    5 Personal Fouls
    1 Assist
    2 Turnovers

Looks like he has some ball skills so not a wasted ship in providing depth.

If you search his name on YouTube, you will find the entire first half of a game his club team played in. You have to spell his name correctly, but I will call him Simchick. Simchick made one 3 and played solid offense. He probably had about 10 points at the half. He did not play well on defense and he did not rebound well on the defensive boards. Based on what I saw, his team would have lost to Dr. Phillips by 30 points, and it’s opponent would have lost by 50 points. The kid would have been destroyed by Dr.Phillips’ big man, Ernest Udeh. That being said, the kid has upside, but the coaching staff will need to coach him up. I also don’t know how long ago the game took place, so he might have improved since then.

He won’t be the only player destroyed by Udeh!
Agents leading great Florida players to other programs, most notable Kansas, ugh!

Let me tell you about a player who is 5'-10". He was MAGNIFICENT...at least he WOULD have been if a certain coach had let him play all five positions at once.

Udeh’s a beast, but go find the video I am talking about and tell me what you think. More importantly, this kid is big and knows how to play hoops. I expect him to develop his game.
