I hope you are right, I don’t want to see us limping into the SEC/NCAA tournaments. If you are right I am going to dog you for recruiting info, LOL, Thanks!

Coaches are working toward something big but nothing is set in stone yet. If it doesn’t work out, we won’t waste the scholarship just to fill a seat.

So if I am reading the subtleties of your post correctly, the coaches are trying to sign a “big” kid, and “Stone” is either his first or last name. Interesting.

I am going to guess his last name, but first, I would like to buy a vowel.

CMW did the same thing, couldn’t get it done. How can all the SEC teams we play, come with full rosters. This is not utilizing the new way of recruiting with paying up. “We won’t waste a scholarship.” What if someone doesn’t pan out, gets mad and transfers? Another gets hurts. Not a good look in my eyes.

Assuming the new kid signs on, we will have 13 guys on scholarship plus 2 walk-ons. You need to relax.

I think he will be a valuable addition to our team and will quickly become a fan favorite. Already has a nice set of skills that Coach Golden values in his recruits. Will mesh easily into Gator basketball.

After the last three years playing short handed D-1 basketball, I am a little on edge. But if CTG gets Aleksander in the team fold, an international player also, which I said a number of times we needed to mine, I will be ecstatic. End of the year play short handed with not enough muscle in the SEC, is a recipe for crappy seeds in tournaments and early ousters. It seems CTG gets it and then some. This is a first step change in overhauling the roster and sets him up to blend this talented assortment of players into a great team, which is the second big step. Third, to get to be a head coach in this league where some great experienced coaches are residing, if he can not be intimidated on the floor, we have pulled a very good coach. This first big step allows my high blood pressure to come down naturally! LOL

In sports I have lived in the Gators sports competition since I was about seven years old, first Florida football game, 1960, Alligator Alley a couple of years later. Yes I am passionate about the Gator sports programs and it gives me something to share with family and friends!

Tony Livingston article from Eric Fawcett shows Tony wants to walk on and show he has skills.
After looking at his clips, another, young, physical body that shows he has a good handle, good outside shooting and can transition and drive. These last two pieces of the puzzle, depth, size and toughness. Oh Boy, if this can’t get you excited then something is wrong! CTG has brought life to a program that has been mundane the last three years. Thank you Coach/Coaches and Scott Strickland.
