Starbucks to close 16 stores citing personal safety concerns

If it came down to the two, McDonalds house coffee is better than Starbucks IMO, though they dont do all the fancy drinks. Chic Fil A coffee is usually decent too.

The fraps at McDs are a good cheap summer desert, but I tend to agree, its actually a better roast than Starbucks for straight coffee. (They water down their ice coffee though imo.)

 

A good analogy for coffee is craft beer.
Remember when all you drank was Budweiser but then matured into IPA's and your favorite local brewery became the best place on earth?

Yeah, I dont go to CfA to get coffee, I live close to a DD, so thats usually what I do. On the rare occasion I get CfA breakfast , the hot coffee is usually alright, and the ice coffee on point, and I wish they had a larger size.

 

Damn, really? Starbucks is like Budweiser? Hot take. Harsh. But I’ll take it.

I don't go there much either. I did last month because I went into a Target. I was hungry and got an iced coffee and a chocolate cake pop. OMFG... that cake pop was insane!! So chocolaty rich. I'd hit it again and I'm not ashamed to say so!

 

Dunkin Donuts regular with cream and sugar is better than Starbucks. They all do something to the Kuerig pods, they never taste like the drive thru stuff.

Dunkin' Donuts fan here. Make my own at home. I've never enjoyed Star Bucks coffee.

 

That should fix it. The Santa Monica Pier store is closing. Those homeless maniacs are well known for lack of mobility, any nearby stores should be smooth Celine Dioning.

 

Say what you want about their politics on governance and government issues, but the management is very practical when it comes to their business model. They were one of the first to open up after the shutdown.
