Jesus was an adult. He willingly sacrificed Himself for the sake of others. That is the polar opposite of a people who choose to sacrifice others for themselves. They don’t even remotely belong in the same category. There is no greater love than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. Jesus embodied that perfectly, and the demonic contradiction of it is what everyone is in a panic over because they may not be able to do it anymore.

I've never understood why an omnipotent being, i.e. God, would have to sacrifice anything, much less his son.
Imagine a judge saying the school shooter in Texas will not be punished. That would be a monstrous injustice. So, transgression demands justice. If God did not punish sin, then He would not be just. So, God is just because He punishes sin. All sin is punished. For the person who has not put their trust in Christ, they must face the justice of God alone for every sin they have ever committed. For the person who has trusted in Christ, Jesus satisfied the demands of God's justice so that they stand before the judge being cloaked in Christ's righteousness. He bore their sins. He was crushed for their iniquity. He was pierced for their transgressions. They are as spotless as Christ himself because His righteousness covers their sin. But you only get Christ on His terms. He is Lord. You must acknowledge Him and repent of your sins. You must trust Him. You must obey Him. You must live for Him.

Does it really all count if you're resurrected days later? Lots of mere mortals suffered on the crosses, it was a common punishment back in the day. None of them came back. Lots of parents sacrifice their children, usually to war, and none of them are resurrected. I'm sorry, the whole thing just doesn't make sense to me. Create human beings, make them flawed, punish their flaws (sins), impregnate a virgin, eventually decide that humans must be redeemed by a blood sacrifice, then raise him from the dead to general acclimation.
