How did costs "surge" for gasoline when the national average for gas has declined for 29 straight days??

I recently looked up the commodities futures for foodstuffs and most were down last few weeks. Hopefully this along with slightly falling gas prices signal some stabilization in inflation in the coming months.

Inflation is generally a lagging indicator. And core prices are dropping. The headline is surely shocking, but many experts did expect to see inflation continue through Q2 of CY 2022. We're now in the start of Q3, and by all indications, June should be the last month of near double digit inflation. We'll see what the July numbers bring this time next month.

Which makes sense because most monthly data is collected by mid-month. So that is why it is high in that report despite the drop over the last month.

    The MAGA trickle up economy.
    2.2T CARES Act
    PPP free money
    Sending out checks to everyone

    The Democrat trickle up economy
    1.9T Stimulus
    More free money
    3T Infrustructure bill
    More money for stuff

These are the jackals we all voted into power! They are all the same. Biden did Trump a favor by winning. He took the economy L for Trump :confused::confused:

now… the awesome thing is that all that debt to China gets to be paid of with deflated dollars. Yeah! Winning.

Plenty of places in S Carolina when I drove through there a few weeks ago were already under $4.00. The gas station around the corner from me in North Carolina was $4.06 this morning.

It's on purpose and will get worse. With that said, I'd invest all my money in Buc-ee's when they go public.
