That’s a fine opinion, but I don’t believe cristobal has ever been this dynamic. He could very well pull the number #1 class in the nation after a 7-5 season in the acc.

He won National Recruiter of the Year a few years ago and finished #2 the following year, and his profile and recruiting prowess has only grown bigger since then. Sure Ruiz' wallet helps, but I'm not at all surprised Cristobal is cleaning up in the most fertile recruiting ground in America, there's a reason why he had no qualms about leaving a great situation in Oregon to return to his old stomping grounds.

Except he is not getting just south Fla kids. In fact most of his class is not from florida. His recruiting footprint is nationally this cycle.

Of their 14 commits. Only 6 are from Florida. 1 from Milton up by Pensacola, one fro Melbourne amd only 4 from south Florida. Of the top 7 highest rated commits, only # 7 Nathaniel Joseph is from Florida. The Florida. from Cali, Texas, GA, Washington and Oregon. Some are IMG kids from the west coast.

Can't tell me him being a south beach native has him pulling in all the talent in the south fla area when his class so far has less than a third of its class from there. His prized commits this cycle are from the other side of the country.

That's cool, that's that CBN connection there since CBN coached Amari Cooper at bama. Pretty cool he gave our director of speed improvement and skill development Tiger Jones a shout out.

    This…
I feel like a lot of folks here want to point to NIL and no doubt that is at play. But that’s not the only reason miami is cleaning up.

Well, he did coach on that side of the country for several years, where he made in-roads and built relationships.

NIL is most definitely at play. Cristobal’s charm and knowing how schmooze recruits and flat out relentlessness on the trail is also at play.

We have the FL pre-paid for both our kids and wish we wouldn't have bought those and invested it conservatively instead. Pre-paid pays for the academic portion of tuition, which is about half of the tuition charge, so he'll be paying around $100 per credit hour in fees. Books and room/food are also expensive. Hopefully he'll get Bright Futures.

My beef with FL Pre-paid is that it cost around $10,500 18 years ago, but will only cover 120 hours at around $100/hr. If we invested $10,000 18 years ago at 1%, we would be ahead. It turned out to be a very poor investment.

Yes, he was HC at Oregon from 18-21. But his classes were a mixed bag. Only 2 inside top 10. He landed some good recruits, including #1 overall K.Thibodaux. but his classes were overwhelmingly filled with regional kids. He did not recruit nationally as much, at least not for his top recruits. All pretty much CA,UT, OR, WA area. And ones gotta think that with the Cali schools being straight garbage the last few years that has helped him nab the higher rated kids from Cali. He is a damn good recruiter. Let's be clear on that, but the Ruiz money is what catapulted him to the upper echelon this cycle with the other big dogs. He didn't do near as well recruiting at Oregon and Oregon has been way more successful over the last 15 years than Miami has. I also think that being able to flaunt money going around to recruits is also a recruiting tool in itself. Kids see thatvand want in. Can only imagine what Nike owner Phil knight could do if he started doing the same. Yikes.

No, the well publicized NIL payments to Miami recruits is what put them over the hump. Guess I can only hate so much because it's working.

It's sadly evident that some members would be happy to have Mario and a deep pocket slimeball in Gainesville.

EXACTLY!!! People always “bags bags bags” when other schools gets kids but never have that same energy when we get kids because it’s always “Glad we got kids that wanted to be Gators!!!!”. Can’t have it both ways

Which is why Ruiz's tweet that said his life wallet and cigarette boat contracts signed by recruits were "Pay for play" got them a visit from the NCAA even though they're toothless.

Cash rules the world. There are many aspects needed in addition to but it’s not possible without buying classes.
