Realism to me is understanding we might not be able to outbid Miami for top recruits but we need to beat fsu for talent

What realism isn't being shown to the kids that we have now? I think we all are good with the 12 we have committed now.

Recruiting at the top of the offensive line prospects is probably the most telling aspect of future success

The weakness is Cash. We can pretend it’s anything we want to but we know what it is. We’ve seen recruiters recruit elsewhere compared to here and we know the difference. Recruiters don’t forget how to recruit or remember when they go somewhere else either

If we matched their asking price, do you think they would still care if there were one or two position coaches?

Still time to add recruits some will improve their senior year guys who are low ranked or don’t camp that’s my hope or flip a couple after the team they committed to sucks

The one thing with olineman is there is ALWAYS several who really come i to their own in their senior year. A lot of that is the size and strength these kids have to develop in order to be competitive doesn't naturally occur in many kids until a bit later. Kids often "grow" into lineman from other positions. Once they get the growth spurt they then add in the skill at the position they have to learn and that's why we will see some good lineman rise up during this upcoming senior season tat may not have been on many radars earlier on.

We've all seen what effect filling a class early has at landing kids that we want later on.

We've had early filled classes where we took early commitments from kids that regressed thru their last season and took a spot tat could have gone to a better performing recruit and We've seen us not have many recruits at all heading into NSD and scrambled and took commitments from kids who may not even qualify just to get numbers.

What I'm hoping for is there are a few good seniors that rise up on the line this season. With a lot of these other schools getting to capacity months before ESD hopefully that leaves us as an attractive destination

I don’t have proof, but i feel like they are. Probably the top 150 at least… people have been getting bags and cars and hookers all of these years and you’re telling me now that NIL is a thing all of a sudden these schools just stopped pushing the envelope?? Go look at the top 100. They’re all going to the same 7 schools. All of the usual suspects… I’m not buying for 1 minute that some shady crap isn’t taking place

The crystal balls for elite lineman are falling big time for $cum. Kirkland and Kinsler will be kicked out the door.

Can't imagine they take both, and you may be right that they take neither

Nobody is going to convince me that EVERY kid is taking cash/benefits to go to a certain school, even if you condense it to say ALL the top 200 kids are. Not ever going to convince me of that.

If you believe that, then how much under the table money you think it took for Florida to land Wilson and James last cycle?

They all are taking money. Remember, ‘it’s a business decision’ now. Texas a&m proved this last year. If you want to recruit at a high level, you have to pay up.

Idk about numbers. But just watching how it’s all gone down since the rumors of a&m buying their class last year. Come on man. You telling only some are getting paid and not telling their buddies??? Everybody wants a piece of the pie

yea i believe that. Wait a minute, lets make sure we’re on the same page; what im saying is that yes of course their are kids that are going to school strickly due to their pockets being lined with either a LEGAL NIL deal or being paid illegally. Of course.

My thing is, I’m not going to ever be convinced that every top 200 kid is being paid ILLEGALLY. Not ever kid/family is money hungry.

Now whether these NIL deals are indeed LEGIT, only time will tell because at some point, once these NIL deals are made public, we damn sure better see these kids faces plastered everywhere advertising stuff because maybe it’s just me, but I see a small number of kids advertising whatever product they’re being paid to endorse

The thing is that if you’re in the top 200 there is money available. Not too many people are going to turn down a paycheck to go play for free
