Would be nice to have a surprise commit of this type. Even Adams is said to be a LSU lean. Not sure we are top choice for any of the remaining OL on our board.
We aren't tbh. LB and OL recruiting is leaving something desired something SERIOUS. I know we'll be fine at DB because not only do we have Raymond as the coach, but we'll be adding Ja'Keem Jackson soon and Jordan Castell in October. That OL recruiting though....whoa. Looks like we're going to have to rely on development of lower rated kids unless something changes
Haven’t we heard that last part before ? Yikes. Billy gone have to get those two OL Coaches some Crootin help !!
I’m just greatly concerned that UF admin will never loosen their stance on the ‘people’ that can do the big NIL deals doing them like is happening at other schools.
yep, sadly. We’re being outrecruited by FSU and badly by Miami because along with who they have committed, Miami lead for: Samson Okunlola, Thayer Academy, Offensive Tackle Olaus Alinen, The Loomis Chaffee School, Offensive Tackle Tommy Kinsler, Trinity Catholic, Offensive Tackle And feeling good about Monroe Freeling, Oceanside Collegiate Academy, Offensive Tackle Payton Kirkland, Dr. Phillips, Offensive Tackle
Looking through next years rankings we are likely going to need to reach out of the state if we want some top tier lineman. I know it is over a year away and things can change but as of now the highest rated lineman in the state isn’t in the top 200 overall. I’m not counting the IMG guy because he is from Mississippi. Just like this year Florida seems to be struggling to produce top tier lineman in state. This year the top in state lineman is Rod Kearney, if you remove Lucas Simmons, who isn’t really a Floridian, the next highest lineman is Kirkland and then Clay Wedin who is down around 300. I know we all talk about owning Florida recruiting but it’s looking like that’s not going to be good enough the next couple years.
Only way I see him becoming a Gator is if Miami runs out of room on their OL board if those targets all want him but he liked UGA a lot too so he'd probably go there before UF. We'll see though, we'll see
I mean we're happy but we can also be realistic and point out where we still have weaknesses in recruiting.
Have you seen scUM's schedule this year. Greg Knox could coach them to a 10-2 record. They play two teams with a pulse - Texas A&M and Clempson. UNC & Pitt are breaking in new QBs Duke is duke UVA & GT - see above What a joke.
exactly!!! everyone saying bad things about Cristobal being an average game day coach yet his schedule is bad to the point that will be masked
We are going to have more o line coaches (2 on field and 3 off field) than o line recruits in the class of 2023. I’m not sure if It is too early to claim the two o line coaches experiment a failure so early but Id think if you cannot recruit elite o linemen with TWO o line coaches, something or someone is wrong in that equation. Others claim having no qb coach and offensive coordinator - Billy is the head coach and OC and QB coach - also hurts qb recruiting and the additional o line coach is likely taking the place of a true on field qb coach. Lots of recruits who visit say they love the two o line coaches for giving them more opportunities to get coached up and yet..,none of those elite o linemen who make these statements are committing to UF and instead choosing places with only one o line coach, so it can be done.
