"On Dec. 19, 2020, President Donald Trump posted on Twitter one of his many baseless claims about the presidential election, alleging that it was “statistically impossible” for him to have lost to Joe Biden and alerting his supporters to a Washington protest in the coming weeks.

“Big protest in D.C. on January 6th,” Trump tweeted then. “Be there, will be wild!”

That tweet would serve as an invitation to far-right militant groups such as the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers as well as other violent extremists who were part of the pro-Trump mob that overran the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to block the certification of Biden’s electoral college win, members of the House select committee investigating the insurrection said Sunday.

The effect of that tweet — as well as other messages from Trump and his allies — will be explored this week as the committee resumes its public hearings. Tuesday’s session will focus on Trump’s connections to those far-right and political extremist groups."

interesting op Ed from a capital policeman.

“a U.S. Army veteran and a sergeant who has worked on the force for 16 years, but I’ve never witnessed anything like the Jan. 6 attack — even in combat in Iraq. I was sure I was going to die that day, trampled by the hordes of President Trump’s supporters trying to stop the official transfer of power on his behalf.”

Not to be overly harsh on MAGAs, but if one had an open mind, one wouldn't be a MAGA.

After the judge ruled against every single defense that he proposed, Bannon’s lawyer asked rhetorically (I think): Your honor, what’s the purpose of a trial if you have no defense?

DOJ was ready for Bannon’s claim of Executive Privilege.

Trump lawyer interviewed with FBI about Bannon contempt case
According to Vaughn, Clark contradicted multiple claims by Bannon and his defense team, which had long cited correspondence with Clark as the basis for Bannon’s contention that Trump had claimed executive privilege over Bannon’s testimony and records.

Instead, Vaughn said, Clark told DOJ “that the former President never invoked executive privilege over any particular information or materials; that the former President’s counsel never asked or was asked to attend the Defendant’s deposition before the Select Committee; that the Defendant’s attorney misrepresented to the Committee what the former President’s counsel had told the Defendant’s attorney; and that the former President’s counsel made clear to the Defendant’s attorney that the letter provided no basis for total noncompliance.”

So if their conversations aren’t privileged, then will Bannon plead the 5th a lot or implicate trump?

I am a simpleton, nobody, yet, none of this is new or revealing.
When you step on shit, it stinks, it has the texture of shit and if you taste it, it tastes like shit.

Why ANYBODY has any DOUBT about WHAT HAPPENED and where it ORIGINATED FROM is, well, pretty STUPID, IMHO.
