FWIW, I think they got it right in McCullen, even if I agree that the anti-abortion protesters are far more extreme than some gentle old lady.

I am unalterably opposed to Tom Brady being sacrificed at midfield.

This actually is an important issue and, imo, an unfortunate holding by the court. A game ends. The coach gathers his 50 or so players at the 50 yard line to pray to Jesus. A few Jewish and Muslim kids are totally embarrassed and don’t know what to do. If you think that’s appropriate, that tells us something about you.

    They don't have to pray.

And the coach cannot coerce them or punish them if they choose not to. The evidence that the coach did either is scanty at best.

If the coach were Jewish or Muslim, I'd be saying the same thing.

I agree. But this goes way beyond embarrassment. The Jewish and Muslim kids may also feel tremendous pressure to join their teammates. And some may even be ostracized by their coach or teammates for not doing so.

I coached with a guy who got canned (he was the head coach) for continuing to give bible lessons on away game bus rides after being told to stop by the principal. I think I know the parent(s) who bitched about it because they bitched about everything else as well.
But he didnt listen to his boss and paid the price.

    PS we were undefeated!

Kind of a weird thing to be glad about. He was not fired per se, just told at seasons end he wouldnt be back.

    Of course we did.

Maybe it's me, but a dude that thrusts his religion on a captured audience and then ignores a direct mandate from his superior shouldn't be in a position of authority over impressionable young adults. It just encourages more grooming.

Here is what I don't see. You and I are in agreement Trump was a terrible President/person. I also think open carry is a terrible thing. I think assault rifles should be banned. It just seems the left doesn't advertise their disagreements with their side very often/if ever. Crazy.

well, I would have been upset if he wasn't fired. What's the antonym for 'upset'?

I think, around here at least, it is because the vocal ones are pretty far left and agree on most things.
