Let’s talk about your “closer” for a moment. How do you “close” a deal when by definition it’s pending until December at the earliest? Define closing - badgering the kid to verbally commit 6 months ahead of time so you can get a higher Rivals rating? These contracts are not signed and binding for another almost 6 months (hell even then they aren’t ‘binding’ on the kid’s part). CBN is getting the right people through the door and he and Katie and the dozens of other people on his staff are impressing all of them. Thats his job in July, and he’s doing it. He’s also getting 4* to sign who want to be Gators. Stop this silly “closer” nonsense for another few months and then let’s see more good talent sign up - the right kind of players, not the ones jumping at the biggest pay-for-play bags.
Why is that? Because I don’t worship st the feet of BN? I’m a realist. The last 3 guys crashed and burned…hell the last 4 of 5 were duds. Everyone on this board assumes Billy is gonna dominate just because he is a gator. that being said I’m more than happy to eat crow and the last few days he has made some strong and impressive moves.
Seriously? That’s your only reply to my question about your closer thing? Man you disappoint Is anybody who dares disagree with you “attacking” you? Talk about “grow up” (your words, not mine)
Kinsler decommitted from UF based on an offer Mario told him was coming that apparently did not materialize. Kinsler is a UM plan B and will only get an offer if some higher rated prospects don’t commit. That is why he is now visiting FSU. NIL money and offer not there for Kinsler. Mario pulled a fast one. Slick recruiter. Tells kids we play football and do t have flashy cars on visits and the holds a UM Boat Day on speed boats. Slick Mario the used car salesman.
These kids are going to learn that an offer from UF is not to be taken lightly. We’re not begging these kids to be Gators - not with stupid money and not by accepting their little games. This will be learned by credibility and consistency from UF over time. You’re fortunate to be offered by UF.
And even if a good prospect with upside, once he blows our staff off for a rival, it’s probably not enough to want back in. Our staff probably in position to let this one go. I hope last year’s OL class showing some promise.
Yep, for every kid that successfully holds out for higher NIL offers, there's one who rides the market to the bottom. I hope he enjoys Turnstile U.
