They didn’t want Cox more than likely. He hasn’t set the edge very well and that’s probably the most important part of his job. You don’t need to pass the ball if your rb gets outside regularly. Cox is a great talent but I’d say project may fit. He’s expected to become a complete player this year is he not?

But no blind squirrel with a roster void of first round talent will find shit no matter how good of a coach he is.

Maturity level is 2x a high schooler. Let’s give an 18 year old a million dollars, but him in a college campus, where it’s a target rich environment, and expected them to succeed. And don’t the NFL rookies have structured contracts based on where they were drafted?

So one guy is going to finance 85 players each and every year? It’s not sustainable, unless some of the money is coming from TV contracts and game day revenue. Where did/does Ruiz make his money?

Bowlcut took 5 years and several tries to unseat Bama. And Bama was not at full strength in the NC game.
CBN haven't even coached his first season yet. People need to chill a little. I bet CBN gets even better once money from backers start pouring in.

Yeah, you have to wonder what a kid's motivation is going to be once he cashes his first big check.

they can only beat who Bama put on the field in the NC title game. We can’t gush about Bama being loaded with 5*’s and then use them “not being at full strength” when UGA beat them.

overall, you need elite talent and a lot of it to win a natty. That’s the bottom line and hopefully next cycle we can be more than just a hat on the table for a top 50 kid decision

The difference between your thinking and a recruit is time. You were making long term decisions.
These top guys are making a 3-4 yr decision tops. They will be in and out to the NFL as quickly as possible. The top 20 or so schools/coaching staff will develop a motivated player for the NFL, so it is all about the money.

Teams that have gone 8-4 Still have players that go in the top 2 rds of the draft.

And you have to get there to play them. They were the last two standing regardless of Bama beating them prevy at full strength

It's the 15th game of the season, no team is full strength at that point.

I believe Bateman was a negative to keeping Hopper, which could hurt this fall. I would be surprised though if we were not instantly better at LB play this year.

UGA claimed the only reason why they lost to UF 2 years ago was because they were missing 2 of their best players. Are injury excuses only apply to UGA, and not the opponents?

Not sure your point. You seem to be moving the goalposts. Who cares how many 5*s leave if he continues to replace them? Winning a national championship is pretty impressive.

Kirby has a good enough staff and enough fortitude to take a few beatings from Saban and keep it together.

    Maybe we'll get there.

As for Mario, has he got the staff to keep it together? Time will tell. Probably enough to win the ACC eventually. Love to see a dumpster fire though.
