Would love Lee’s hitting for a year. Where would she play though? Isn’t she a catcher?

 

Everything I have seen is Kilfoyl, Bloodworth, and Lee are gong to OSU.

 

Coming to Gainesville tomorrow.

As someone else has posted, we cannot bring long-term players with the commits we have for the next 2 years. We do not want them decommiting.

 

Haley Pittman has ended back home in the state of Alabama for Troy.

UF still searching for a arm out of the portal.

How are all these players going to OSU or Oklahoma.

Money. Would love to see their nil and scholarship money compared to everyone else. Could be wrong, but have a feeling there’s an advantage there.

 

Between NIL, the deconstruction of the regional conferences, and the easy availability of the transfer portal, we may be witnessing the sunset of the golden age of college sports. Especially for the revenue sports where most "student" athletes don't care about graduating, the line between college and the pros is getting very blurry.

 

Very disheartening to me.

 

Allison Royalty, P in the portal from Ariz st has chosen FSU. Visited UF, don't know if UF offered or not.

 

Here is an interesting note. After Royalty visited Florida, she was going to FSU. CTW volunteered to drive her to Tallassee, since he was driving to Columbus, GA for Team USA practices.
I have no info on whether we offered or not.

 

I'd take that as a "nope".

 

I suspect we did not offer then, as the ride would have otherwise been a recruiting violation

Yesterday...Ariel Kowalewski: Have a day kid. Two games. 5-6..four runs scored...four rbis...two doubles...two home runs...a play at third and one catching...plus two Gator chomps.

 

We had a pitcher from Tennessee visit today. The best I can figure it out was Ashley Rogers.
She pitched a 3-hit shutout against us in Gainesville. She is also the one that Hoover hit in the gap to win the Super. She had arm trouble last year and we did not see her.

Edit: 1990 corrected me. She came in relief against us on 3/26 and put down 9 batters with Ks. This clinched the series for the Vols.

 

I highly doubt it was her. I would imagine it was Samantha Bender who is in the portal from Tennesse.

 

I really have no idea but with all due respect to Samantha Bender, I'm not sure CTW would invite her for a visit as it seems inconceivable that she'd make the team. Ashley Rogers, OTOH, we'd welcome with open arms.

 

You have evidently been on the Tennessee Softball Roster Site. It is not pretty for Bender.
