Gators didn't make the final 3 for Tampa 4* LB Troy Bowles. 4* DT Peter Woods who has the Gators on his final 4 will make his commitment on July 8th at 7:15 PM ET.
Bateman is not in the same class of ILB coaching pedigree, as some of the LB coaches at his finalists. Has not put lot of kids in NFL. Was let go by UNC.
Never heard that but I did hear that he was lighting it up in practice late last summer. He could be in the two deep as UF's flex tight end. Great length and speed.
4* OT Lucas Simmons who was born in Sweden and has been living in the States for just over a year now and its attending Florida's Clearwater Academy international will announce his commitment live during a CBS Sports HQ broadcast on Monday July 11th among UF,FSU, USC and Tennessee as he has taking official to all four schools.
One thing I can say about this staff that has put me at ease some regardless of rankings, is that we have been talking for years about the emphasis on locking down local talents and rebuilding relationships (esp in Jax since that area got neglected after Meyer) and it seems they've been doing just that.
Just said the SAME thing in a different thread. That's something me, @apkgator @shane4three and a few others have been saying for the last few years; get back into Jax. I hate to be "that guy" but I truly believe if this staff was in place last year, we would have gotten Jahiem Singletary too; I absolutely believe that
Most likely Georgia but if it's not, it's probably UF. He and his family had a great visit and he likes the idea of being part of a big turnaround for the Gators.
