Just think its funny you call us average, and call Mario a playoff contender.

I think UF's average years would be considered great years to UTooth and upside down UT.
    Champ's 11-2; Butter's east div titles; quirky Mullen's first 3 years.

Yep. But FSU would have had 4 straight losing seasons if it wasn’t for rescheduling a rent to win game to get to .500 record. To me that's worst even if they have more wins since 2012.

Me too! I should have put licoln riley in instead but Cristobal name has been mentioned so much arounf here it popped in my head. Make no mistake about it, i think Cristobal is an average coach aside from his recruiting and i believe The weak conference he played in helped him acheive whatever success he got. Let me ask you though, Outside of trasks last year (and with our defense thats a maybe) when is the last time you felt like we were a playoff contender ? Honestly question. I like to feel like a few times we were a just a missing piece or 2 away but man, looking back on it, it's been a minute.

I agree with you 100% but it’s statically more probable that Kelly, Riley or Mario sustain their success than it is that BN surpasses them. There is a reason that businesses pick their c suite staff from previous successful ventures. Florida has a reputation of looking for diamonds in The rough and in some instances it’s worked really well ( Billy D, Sully, even Urban to a point) however for ever diamond there will be multiple lumps of coal.

Yes Brian Kelly could be a massive failure, but more times than not those guys keep succeeding vs guys from lower ranks. Again, I’m not saying it’s a law just probability.

When you play four decent teams all year and go 2-2, I guess that’s a decent year

I don’t think we’ve ever been a real contender since the playoff system was implemented. I don’t think Cristobal was either though. That was my point

I mean this may work out for us in a weird way. If Holstein ends up back on the market it would probably come down to us, UGA, and A&M and our depth chart is waaaay more friendly than those two schools.
