my initial reaction/concern is that he had 3 more official visits scheduled but committed on this visit, and not on the visit to UF. Michigan state? I don’t care how well they did last year or that Mel Tucker is a good recruiter. Unless we had little interest in Hall, it is a recruiting loss for our staff.

 

Yes, this is a loss.

However, it's early.

I won't be critical of the staff if we don't land Rashada either. It would really surprise me if he signs. But there are about 7-8 others that I will be upset if they sign somewhere else.

I think we'll know if this staff can recruit/close by mid-August.

 

I think we all would be excited to see the Gators receive a couple of high rated kids commit followed with a good bump in the rankings, just to boost morale.

 

I hope the coaches CBN brought from U of L are ready for the big leagues.

Searcy is a good pickup.

This Gators class player average is apparently now up to over .90 so it's a step in the right direction.

In my personal opinion the benchmark for a great bump class is pretty fluid depending on how many they take but based on historical data a successful bump class to me would be a final ranking of 7 and above or a Player average over .92, and 65% or greater blue chips.

 

They do have 3 more recruits than we do, not worried about them, Cristobal will be their Richt..oh that's right..he coached there too with limited success...Cristobal had all he needed at Oregon.and wasn't all that on game day...

 

I don’t think it is ultimately something to lose sleep over. It seems like the most frustrating thing is that Mullen squandered 4 years to improve our status within the state while winning on the field and now we are behind the 8 ball again.

 

the OL from img is impressive. Rashada is ranked high and then it’s a lot of skill positions elevating their ranking. Although with Ruiz I am sure they will have a very nice class

 

Oh..I certainly don't lose sleep or worry about the decisions of 18 year old kids..have followed the Gators all my life..as I stated on other threads..been thru Graves thru current coach..season ticket/booster since 1985..so I know the drill now..
And I may concern myself about the u in 2024 when we play them...we will see what we look like then..meanwhile, I hope they lose every game, and when they play fsu..that's a toss up or meteor game lol

 

I consider the hiring of DD to STILL be the worst football coaching decision UF ever made.

 

My sister in law could not stand him...she called him Doug Donkey..lol
