Child rapists should be hung from their testicles until dead.

You figure that she isn't sure which of her sexual encounters got her pregnant?

I agree and it is difficult to project that kind of accuracy under normal circumstances. However if the date of the rape is known then you can consider a few days later for conception to occur, so that degree of accuracy is possible.

I'd say all rapists. But we can start with child rapists and go from there.

It is possible for conception to take place within a very few minutes after the act of intercourse is completed to five days later. Implantation of the fertilized to the uterine wall adds another few days.

Ethier you believe God is perfect or you don’t. If you choose to believe he is not that is your choice. I choose to believe he is and I don’t look for any contradictions in his holy word. The Bible speaks to each person differently too bad you are reaching for errors. Have a good day.

Rape is a disgusting act of evil but to harm a child like that is it’s own level of depravity.

Yes it’s possible under rare conditions where the female ovulates to a waiting 280 million sperm cells.

Regardless it’s still narrowed down considerably so that the point of fertilization can be narrowed down considerably.

It's the 'but' that turns this statement backward. It nullifies the act of rape and makes this about a victim being the criminal. She's protecting her life by aborting, after being the victim of a crime, and only she can make that decision as to what is best for her and the future. She can't make decisions for her life based on your religious beliefs, which is what Republican states are forcing on women and children, even when raped.

You won't give up. If she only engaged in a single act of sexual intercourse (not an unreasonable assumption considering she's 10 years old) it was the one that resulted in conception. One doesn't need a medical degree to reach that conclusion.

As you closed your post with "Have a good day," I don't expect a reply but want to add my thoughts in response .

Although I don't know your depth of study into the Bible, but contradictions like the ones posted earlier don't always stand out in a superficial read. It's not that I think God is not perfect, but more a matter of people misapprehending God, or looking for and finding 'a' or 'the' God that justifies their agenda. Their understanding, I think, is less than perfect.

Apparently you believe in 'a' God that supports and endorses your agenda. A restrictive, punitive agenda established and promoted by evangelical / fundamentalist thinking. I'm familiar with it. This God you believe in is finite and limited by doctrines and dogma that curtail or discourage deeper study.

The Bible - both Testaments - with its many writers, is a text with multiple levels of interpretation. In the Jewish tradition it is 4 levels, each one deeper than the one before it. It is a nuanced text, best understood after many years of study and contemplation. These deeper levels are inaccessible when limited or guided by over wrought trinitarian doctrines of salvation and original sin that have changed numerous times over the past 20 centuries.

The Bible is a map, not the territory. Read it with an open mind.

This is going nowhere your concept of GOD contradicts what I believe. Don’t let your intellect lead you down a path of the broad way. I’m sure you know what I mean. I honestly wish you could find the truth.

I think the rarity is what makes it easier to allow the exception.

    Doctor decides. Not the law.
Seems simple. If a pregnancy is deemed rape by a medical professional than it meets rape provisions.

Regardless of the truth or accuracy of this particular case, it opens up a valid concern that needs to be addressed. This needs to be fixed.
