Patriots believe in the orderly transition of power. Trump doesn't. Trump is a traitor and those that think what he did was ok are traitors too.

Your comments are regarding style. How do feel about the substance? The actual testimony?

Trump did some bad things, with deliberation and forethought. He should be held accountable.

They are more than willing to discuss style, process or loud denials by Trumpers, but never the substance of what happened.

Easier by far to pick nits about setting and duration than try and defend the indefensible.

I'm trying to figure out these guys who say they don't like Trump but at the same time ridicule the hearings as a 'dog and pony show'. I guess they just don't want attention drawn to the fact that most of their party was complicit. The truth hurts and they'd rather not be confronted with it.

A lot of Trump world people say that. And then they never do it. Until he gets under oath and does so, he should be ignored.

agreed. But, them not testifying also does not confirm her testimony. Plus, the "confirmation" is based not only on stuff NOT under oath, it is based on unnamed sources.

Liz Cheney to Secret Service: 'We welcome additional testimony under oath'

Their silence does say a hell of a lot, though. Apparently more than enough truth to her statement that they don't dare testify.

So, Ornato shot his mouth off to multiple agents about what he said took place. And to Hutchinson. Maybe it didn’t take place and he just lied to multiple agents and Hutchinson. OK. So maybe he is a liar? We certainly haven’t heard from him. Or maybe it did and he is lying now. The fact he shot his mouth off shows Hutchinson isn’t lying. And The event isn’t the “story.” The Material facts are that Trump wanted the metal detectors taken down knowing there were armed people out these because they didn’t want to kill him and that he wanted to go to tie Capital like he said in his speech.

Actually she testified under oath. If nobody is willing come forward to testify under oath to contradict her, or at least to set the story straight, then I think one can safely say her version of the story is way more "confirmed" than unconfirmed. At this point, the burden is to prove her version is not true, rather than have to have it confirmed. In my opinion, anyways.

yep, but if their loyalties are to Cassidy it sez something diff than if their loyalties are to Trump.

people are being real loose here with logic & words, like confirmation. Keep in mind that her testimony was not about what happened in the car. It was about what others said happened in the car.

Not trying to be argumentative, but to me unless someone is willing to testify a different version then there is little reason to doubt the story. Confirmation would be nice, but lack of a refuted testimony under oath gives the story credence. Loyalty does not matter. Unwillingness to testify under oath does.

    I don't doubt it

I don't see why loyalty & unwillingness/willingness to testify would not be intertwined. If I could testify to protect my son, I would jump at the chance. If I knew my testimony would doom him, I would prefer to not testify.

my example made it clear that loyalty does matter in that it would effect my willingness to testify. You said, & I quote: "Loyalty does not matter."

In my defense, the link title I shared does not match the article's title. Sorry. The CNN article reports that 2 sources confirmed the rumor, not the interaction between Cassidy and Ornato.

But here's the crux (for me), Cassidy said she heard the story from some former Secret Service guys and her credibility is being called into question. The fact the trump 'flip out' appears to be a valid Secret Service rumor is meaningful. Whether the actual 'flip out' occurred in the way she was told or not at all isn't material to her credibility.

One of the sources allegedly heard it from the driver himself.
