What amuses me about all of this is Trump obviously believes his followers are a bunch of morons. It's both fascinating and alarming. He could preach the existence of unicorns or pretty much anything and it would be vehemently defended. The willful ignorance is something I've never previously witnessed outside of doomsday cults or locked-down totalitarian states (eg North Korea).

Sorry it was just for show and to try to stem the rising tide against the Dems. Didn't work. IF it worked, Trump would be indicted according to you and the far lefties. I hope it happens, but I know it won't. So back to the dog and pony show.

And all the republicans within the Trump administration who have described what went on and who repeatedly told him the election wasn't stolen, they are all to be disbelieved? How can one possibly come to that conclusion? And what about the two very conservative republicans on the committee who believe what Trump did and tried to do were an assault on our democracy?

Yeah. I'm very comfortable mocking him for his ignorant take on this subject.

And, that someone was probably a right wing extremist trying to incite violence to discredit BLM.

So angry. These hearings sure are pissing you off. You want it both ways. You don't want Trump to run again but you also don't want Republicans to be penalized for their slavish support of him and his attempted coup. Sorry sport, it don't work that way. 60% of congressional Republicans voted to reject the official election results. 60% of congressional republicans are complicit in Trump's attempted coup. The Republican party is an anti-democratic, anti-American party. And you are a proud supporter of them.

Give it up amigo. You're never going to convince a brain-washed cult member. It's a futile endeavor when they refuse to watch some of the testimony let alone have an open mind or even think for themselves. They don't believe in truth, only the false words of their prophet.

If Garland decides not to bring charges against Trump, (which IMO would be a political decision) then these congressional hearings more or less are amounting to political theater.

And getting rid of first past the post voting. Combine those two things and moderates can win elections again.

Weird she seems pretty grounded in reality for a MAGA loyalist. So her most damning testimony was really that Trump knew there were weapons in the crowd and knew his people would never use them against him - yet encouraged them to go to the capital? Her testimony about Trump in the car was not first hand. But I really doubt she lied. I do think it is possible the secret service agent exaggerated the incident in the telling at the time but with Trump it is likely 100% true. But the fact that Trump wanted to go and intended to go seems undisputed (except in Meadows BS book). I do wonder if the agents broke some kind of code/rule telling her about the incident. Or should have reported something they did not.

So intellectually superior & demanding. Challenge excepted.

First, this particular thread is about a BOMBSHELL! The RINO's you speak of are not compelling to me and are not part of this thread, but I will share some thoughts. The thread is about Hutch. Ms. Hutch claimed she heard a story from some unknown person that President Trump was so insistent on traveling to the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, that he assaulted his secret service detail and grabbed the steering wheel on the presidential limousine.

What is non-specific about the lies by Hutch? Let's be specific.

    1. Trump was in the SUV, not "The Beast" limo. Facts matter.

    2. Within minutes of Cassidy Hutchinson’s unsubstantiated claims, the secret service was refuting it. Even NBC White House correspondent Peter Alexander was forced to refute it. “A source close to the Secret Service tells me both Bobby Engel, the lead agent, and the presidential limousine/SUV driver are prepared to testify under oath that neither man was assaulted, and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.” he tweeted. Whoops.

As John Cardillo noted on Twitter, “Junior nobody Hutchinson testified under oath that Tony Ornato told her that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the presidential limo. Ornato, a 23-year veteran of the USSS is stating unequivocally that it never happened. Ornato is currently the Asst. Director of Training for the United States Secret Service.”

**Why not make Ornato testify under oath? because RINO's know the story is false.

    3. Hutch also completely fabricated a story when she claimed she wrote a note with dictation from Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. ABC reported, “At Tuesday’s Jan. 6 committee hearing, Rep. Liz Cheney displayed a handwritten note which Hutchinson testified she wrote after Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows handed her a note card and pen to take his dictation.” Only there’s a problem, she never wrote it.

ABC News – Former Trump White House lawyer Eric Herschmann is claiming that a handwritten note regarding a potential statement for then-President Donald Trump to release during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol was written by him during a meeting at the White House that afternoon, and not by White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News. (more)

Why does BOMBSHELL lie so much?
Back to your questions about RINO's, because this seems very very important to you.

    1. There was not an attempt to stop the transfer of power. Many many RINO's wanted Biden to win.
    2. Hell no, I did not waste my time watching a panel of intellectually deficient left-wing loons. J6 narrative engineers genuinely are nuts and selling nonsense most of the country cannot stomach. If you had shared with me beforehand Kinzinger would cry, I may have worked it into my schedule. RINO tears are the best.
    3. No. RINO's lack credibility. Look at their feeble attempt with Hutch. She's the new Blasey-Smollett.

Agree that it would be a political decision if Trump is not charged. But that makes these hearings all the more important. The country needs to know what happened and in lieu of a criminal investigation, these hearings are all we have. Attempted coups should not be swept under the rug.

The purpose of these hearings are not to indict trump. It's a presentation of findings, to the American people, by Congress on a potential attempt to stop the transition of power and usurp the will of the people.

Seems we need a reminder on here. She was a hardcore republican insider on the Trump staff. Not a libbie. How do you goobers pick which right wing nut you believe?

You either can believe she is lying under oath for the other side or men are lying while not under oath to keep from going to jail for wrong doing. Which is more likely?
