I was once told that tolerance was not enough. If I have to tolerate someone than I am a bigot. Tolerating implies something they are doing needs tolerated.

My point wasnt to frame you as a bigot as much as to say "see, its not bigoted to tolerate".

No, it makes you feel coerced into doing something, not just bad. Is that the end of the inquiry? No. But when the record shows multiple kids feeling that way and the coach very obviously engaging in religious conduct while on the job, it should be enough.

 

Prayer in the classroom? Led by classroom teachers? Is that what you mean, or are you drawing a distinction between one type of school employee and another?

No the burden has to be higher than that. I think even many on the left would agree with that.

Why didn't you include my second sentence? I was stating my opinion that praying in front of a group of people seems like preaching to me. It would be nice if you'd stop trying to pretend that you and your fellow Christians are the victims here. As a non religious person, I've had Christians tell me I'm going to hell, amongst other nasty things. Does that seem like bigotry to you? Should I start pretending to be a victim like you do?

 

No, you don't seem to understand how limited the Establishment Clause is. All that's need to "squash" religious expression from government employees on the job at that time is people feeling coerced. That's accurate. And that's the price of working for the government.

In what way? The players aren't excused yet, the field is paid for by the taxpayers, the coach is still on the clock.

 

Not many First Baptist Churches will be winning championships. The NIL is ripe for prosperity gospel churches…

One could say that some kids feel that they have to participate, even if agnostic, because of peer pressure. It's HS.
