There isn’t anything else to say. Woman’s body woman’s choice.

you disagree. I think that’s wrong. You are literally siding with something that doesn’t exist yet over an adult person who should have the right to make decisions about their body without your interference.

and then what further disgusts me is that people like you also then vote against welfare to support this unborn life you supposedly care so much about.

So I feel like your entire platform is a lie.

Oh I forgot, who was in charge when the judicial appt filibuster was overturned? Also, who led the way in trying to get the Senate entire filibuster overturned this year to pass a law that the majority of Americans didn't favor? Who has been championing getting rid of the filibuster to "pack the court" because they want to create new States that would help create a permanent Democrat majority? Who was all for "abolishing" the electoral college when they didn't like the result (of course it was fine when Uncle Joe got elected)? What party was behind the impeachment of a sitting President and attempted to weaponize the criminal justice system over a Russia collusion that was a made up out of whole cloth? What party was in power when they attempted to weaponize the IRS against groups that they didn't like? I could go on, but I don't think I need to.

The Democrats have undertaken as many steps to turn this country from a constitutional republic to a banana republic as any have.

Is he President right now? If not then he must have transferred power.

Did he create doubt in the integrity of our elections systems? Yessiree, he did....just like the Democrats did in 2016 when Trump was a elected and 2000 when Bush was elected. See its not as simple as black and white...there is a too much grey to assign blame to just one group. Does it make Trump a bad person...yep. Unfortunately he isn't the only baddie out there for us to blame.

In what ways was the original Roe v. Wade decision an attack on democracy?

Actually when I think about it the republicans say that Roe was an attack on democracy may be right. Get it out of the court and return the decision to the voters in each state to decide. Unfortunately for republicans the vast majority of Americans didn’t want Roe overturned, and you can be sure the banning of birth control, plan B, and making certain forms of sex illegal will not be given a warm reception. Not sure how this is going to help republicans at the polls.

Huh? I have an issue with another poster calling him an Uncle Tom. As much as I'm not a fan, I don't think Thomas's decision has anything to do with race or a slight at his fellow black man. He voted according to politics, not race.

And the term Uncle Tom itself is pretty passee and borderline inappropriate, imo.

There are certainly gray areas in life, which is why the parties need to work together, not demonize one another.

With all due respect, Trump did not transfer power. Pence did, over Trump's vigorous objections, which he continues to whine and fume about. This has never happened before, and it has served to undermine the integrity of our elections. For example, according to repeated polls, the majority of Republicans apparently believe the election action was "stolen". This is a grave circumstance. Neither Hillary nor Gore did anything remotely similar to that. It's not a gray area by any stretch.

That was me. Every one of my black friends refer to him as the quintessential Uncle Tom, and not because of Roe. Otherwise, I would not have voiced it.

Okay, in what way does the state recognize somebody prior to birth? Do they have a state-issued certificate that says that they are a separate and living being? Or do we call those Birth Certificates because they aren't issued until birth? Are they eligible for citizenship? Or is that granted upon birth? Can you get life insurance for somebody not yet born? Is your age legally determined by birth date or conception date?

    Again, cue the “republic” lecture.

A few people who win elections that are tampered with by the very people already elected decide, not voters.

In some cases even when voters DO decide per referendum, politicians still thwart the clearly stated Will Of The People.

Floridians got that ass put back in place after they landslid a referendum home 65-35. Elected officials’ response: “Ha, NO.”

Just as the RW perpetually probes the fences of their culture wars like Jurassic Park velociraptors, the LW needs to finally grow up and stop bringing sporks to the atomic bomb fight.

Pass some silly AF law recognizing a pregnancy as a person and give it all the corresponding rights, entitlements, etc. Get the court split, and then watch SCOTUS avoid it like they avoid the average citizen or have to explain to us how that pregnancy does in fact NOT include a person.

A fetus isnt a life. It cannot survive outside the womb. If you kill a pregnant deer, should you be prosecuted for killing a fawn?

Why, because he is a conservative and a proponent of constitutional originalism? I can't understand why he would be considered such a traitor to his race to be called this?
