If I've made up my mind about conservatives (generally speaking), it's not only because what I see as their racism problem. It's what I see as their being so utterly lost in rage and contempt for liberals that they willingly sacrificed pretty much every last vestige of principled conservatism for a reactionary politics bent on seizing autocratic power. I view this as the death knell of the democratic experiment.
