The Official Offensive Line OL recruiting thread

My experience is that people here have actually been rather respectful and tolerant of my harrumphing.

 

Your posts usually have some substance and you don’t come across like a petulant child. You say more than “the sky is falling” and “everyone but me sucks”.

 

Thank you. It's important to understand that everyone but me does suck, but I know that's rude to say out loud.

 

Read a headline (but no insider access) that said an o line target is announcing a commitment tomorrow. I am not aware of any top target committing tomorrow..anyone have the scoop on who may be announcing tomorrow?

 

Roderick Kearney is on an OV, but I don't know if he intends to commit while on it. Not sure if that's who they're talking about on TOS.

Thought he was in the middle of an official? Does that mean he gave us FSUs number and we declined to match so he immediately committed there? Honestly that was my first thought with Leblanc the other day. He shows up on campus. Instantly moves his commit date up. And then immediately gets projected to Ou

They have been on him a lot longer than us. But he is a good one, along with some good ones they got last year who will help them long term. I think we already have some commits with better frames, but he has a motor and an attitude that I like. Not a good whiff, regardless.

 

Spot on. He has been leaning fsu for a long time (not sure how hard prior staff at UF was recruiting him but fsu was all over him for over a year) so this is zero surprise.

 

Not a surprise at all, but on the other hand we have some built in advantages over them. Their OL being rotten for years, two coaches versus one, and closer to home. I think we should have been able to bridge the gap if we really wanted him, which we should unless we have Freeling, Mauigoa, and Okunlola lined up to commit .

 

Statistical probability that he makes the NFL is reduced by his choice to play for an ACC team other than Clemson. Kids don’t pay attention to this, but if you look at NFL draft picks and Players in the NFL, the SEC leads by far. You need to play the best in college to become the best. You don’t get that playing weak ACC opponents. Will likely end up just like Dontae Lucas did.
