Not theatre. Kids don't die from Covid and don't need an emergency drug with no data on their age group. Are the people that want these babies to get the shots looking out for the children or themselves?

It is theater because at the end of the day the state will be paying for covid vaccine for kids just like the 49 other states

It was great to see an email from my wife she got from the Florida Department of Health that basically said…Florida does not recommend vaccinating healthy kids but you should discuss with your doctor about it. So refreshing our State does not engage in pushing fear. But instead follows the “Science”.

At this point there is no reason for a healthy kid to get this vaccine. The cdc will tell you 75% have had Covid already. This push to vaccinate 6 month olds to 5 year olds is nothing more than paying Pfizer and Moderna at the expense of kids. It is evil and unethical! Really feel for the kids who have parents that have been indoctrinated by the propaganda.

Glad your mom is doing well. But let’s not peddle the reason as being she was vaccinated and boosted as the reason. Reality is she thankfully would be doing just fine like most if unvaccinated. Crazy my parents each had Alpha and ended up fine without the vaccine. Both would tell you the flu is worse. That said…in late 2020/early 2021 I would have absolutely supported them getting the new drugs if they had not already hade the virus. Glad that they made the decision to follow the science once they unfortunately got the virus and use the reality that natural immunity is superior so they could continue to donate blood for potential therapeutic treatments (unfortunately those became less effective once omicron came but omicron was less severe).

    Hope Mom is feeling better!

I don’t disagree with you. We are in a much different spot than some of the early variants.

While children are less likely to develop serious cases of Covid than adults they do die albeit very rarely.

I watched the video, and neither saw nor heard anything unusual or inappropriate about it. The tone of your post is just odd. I guess it is because he is a democrat and as such warrants disapproval no matter the occasion.

So thankful Florida is not pushing this drug on young healthy children like this. Knowing most have almost surely had the disease. Evil and immoral! These kids are at more risk of so many things other than Covid and most already have developed some form of immunity. I have no clue why some continue to ignore the facts and push unnecessary drugs on kids at no risk.

Good grief kids have taken the brunt of moronic public policy through this pandemic. From shutting them out of school to pushing unnecessary drugs in them.

Truly unbelievable times we are living in.

Many children do NOT even get covid-19... This is the parentage of deaths that actually get covid-19 which is not a total of all children, many, many more children of which never even get Covid-19. So the total of all children is something like 0.005% or less.

Cumulative Mortality (46 states, NYC, PR and GU reported)*

    • Among states reporting, children were 0.00%-0.32% of all COVID-19 deaths, and 1 state reported zero child deaths
    • In states reporting, 0.00%-0.02% of all child COVID-19 cases resulted in death
Children and COVID-19: State-Level Data Report

In England the survival rate among children that got Covid-19 is 99.995%... that number would be far LOWER if you added all the children (the ones that never got it) in that percentage.

It really is crazy that some think it is a good idea to give these drugs to their kids. From knowing how little danger they are in from it. From knowing that most have had the disease and superior immunity than the shot gives. From knowing these drugs do not stop the spread of the disease. From knowing these drugs will give many a fever for no reason let alone the possibility of having a much worse reaction. All for Minimal benefit.

There is such a huge risk gradient differential based on age. And we know this. Propaganda and an unwillingness to admit one was wrong is the most common problem here. But wow…it is crazy people still refuse to accept reality.

Its because he is my governor and he really hasnt done anything of note in 6 years. Seriously a pretty weak follower. To say he is feeling well because he is vaxed is not true (most likely) as even unvaxed folks will see little issue with the current variants. He is using language from last year.

There have been over 430 COVID deaths in the US for kids under 5 years old, according to the CDC. The risk of death for kids is very small. There was also a wave of Omicron, pediatric hospitalizations resulting in 14.5 hospitalizations out of 100,000 kids under 4 this past December and January. It is likely that the vaccination would prevent a good majority of these hospitalizations, and almost all of the deaths.

The other part of the equation, as mentioned, is natural immunity. It does look like NI may not prevent a second infection, but does as good a job as preventing serious cases the second time around. If 75% of kids have already had COVID, a vaccine would work as a booster, but is likely not needed. Kids with NI would be at even lower risk of a serious case, and in the case of kids with a confirmed case already, no need to give them a drug where the benefits are potentially lower than the risk. Now, if the kid has never had COVID, then the benefits outweigh the risks.

As for myocarditis, the risk from vaccination for kids under 12 has not increased from the vaccine. Most myocarditis cases have been reported in males ages 12 - 29, and after vaccination, the majority of these cases are mild. And the risk of a heart issue after infection is still greater, with a greater chance of a serious issue after infection versus vaccination.

If you don’t want to vaccinate your child, don’t.

Again, don't listen to the charlatan's above who think it's wise to vaccinate healthy kids. They are lying to you. There is a reason they have no real data to back up the approval of 6month-5year olds for the vaccine. They don't even acknowledge Natural immunity in anything they cite. That alone tells you all you need to know.

Oh, and let's not forget who said this would happen 2 years ago. This didn't happen in FL. Didn't have to happen anywhere. You can thank the CDC director, the teachers unions and the support of people on here for keeping schools closed to in person learning for so long.

Boyea-Logan teaches fourth grade, and has witnessed firsthand how disruptive the pandemic has been to the development of her students.

"I feel like at the beginning of the school year, I basically got second graders, because that's the point where they were in school full time," she said.

"Though you're a fourth grade teacher, you're teaching kids who are emotionally at the second grade level. And academically, we're back to working miracles, like, 'Hey, we need to get these kids caught up, we need to fill these gaps.'"

No kidding. They just won’t accept the reality there is no reason to put a child through this. Big pharma owns their minds…

If you have a kid under 5 who had a known case of COVID, or someone in the house had COVID, no real need to vaccinate. The added protection is minimal, and even though the risk is minimal as well, when there little to no reward, no reason to take any risk. If you don't know if the kid has had COVID, then there is reward, unless you find 14.5 kids under 4 per 100,000 in the hospital with COVID funny, as @gator95 seems to. Guess that's why he likes giving the funny rating. Maybe he just finds numbers funny? Or may kids in hospitals funny? I don't know anymore.
