Agree. 14 out of the top 300 are predicted to commit to UF. I'm not sure our coaches are pushing too hard for commits at this time. There's too much time on the clock. Most of the top prospects on our board are still in play.

With the NIL era they are all in play till they ink their LOI if a team gets desperate enough in the 11th hour and chooses to pony the dough for the player(s) of their choice.

14 of tge top 300 is fine with me. Can’t expect better than that from where we are.

 

We’ve got two on the roster no matter how they got there. I hope they live up to their hs ranking this year.

So if Uf signs 2 five stars and 17 4 stars and 6 or so 3 stars the staff really likes, how would you feel then, just asking? Kinsler will most likely become a 4 star or very high 3 star. They may finish with about 5 Or six 4 star OL.

Comparing our recruiting/roster to Bama? They are top 5 every year at end of process. Are you staying we will close like Bama? Bama can cherry pick the portal for the best athletes each year. They got Gibbs from Georgia Tech. He will dominate for Bama offense

 

I mean, it's a cliche, but it's literally true in this case: everything's relative. We're not recruiting in a vacuum, and the goal is to close the talent gap between us and the teams we're (theoretically, at least) trying to compete with. So I'd need to see where we placed in comparison to those teams (plus, I learned during the Mullen years that it's good to wait until fall to start counting chickens with recruiting classes -- Mullen specialized in bringing in highly ranked players who never actually saw the field).
