It’s not like Curry was getting star treatment all night. Boston was fouling him all game and no call. He was clearly fouled on two back to back threes and they didn’t call the foul. And it has a multiplying effect, because it also keeps Smart and Tatum out of foul trouble and they can continue to play aggressively.
But but but… tHe NbA SuCks. I can’t for the life of me understand why people who claim to like basketball don’t like the NBA. But I digress… Great series!
Two very evenly matched teams. The difference was in Game 1, Boston hit big shots down the stretch to steal it. In Game 4, they did not and Curry was on fire. Back to square. I thought that if Horford had hit one or two of his 3s going down the stretch the team would have settled down and pulled out the win. No one else stepped up.
I’m trying to not get too involved with how the refs are calling the games, they’re been….inconsistent. I do think Tatum really gets a ton of freedom, holding the defensive player off with his forearm, but that’s just how it looks to me.
It is a great series. I like both teams and the level of play is superb. Was happy Golden State won last night simply because I want the series to last. Would love to see Horford get a title.
If only there was a way for Horford to get the title without the Celtics and Marcus Smart getting it too. Lol I’m sorry man, Smart’s flopping is just too annoying for me to root for him.
I really disliked Smart until I heard him “mic'd” up a couple games ago. I was incredibly impressed with how “smart” (pun intended) he was. Really had some incredible insights. His flopping and whining drive me crazy, but I like him a little more after that.
I hear you about Smart’s flopping and it is annoying. But it seems everyone has started doing it to some extent. That doesn’t make me like it though. Curry’s last three off the screen where he fell down and wanted a foul… I think it was Tatum that barely bumped him as he landed and Curry acted like he was shoved. That’s also a flop in my book. I just don’t want it to become soccer in regards to flopping. It’s getting close
I have enjoyed watching this series more than any other finals going back 10+ years. It’s a great match up.
Boston was far too reliant on the 3 in game 4. I don't understand why they don't take advantage of their height advantage and pounded it inside more. But yes a great series with 2 evenly matched teams.
It feels like the game that decided the series was Game 4. Boston had to do the champions thing psychologically and couldn't. Now they are at a decided disadvantage. Game 5 says they are folding rather than rising up to the occasion. Good for Da Cheez, bad for Big Al.
Cheese could use a share of the playoff pool. He is making around $460,000 which gets you a tent in San Francisco. A bonus of $300,000 or so would really help him out. Hopefully, he gets a full share.
The fact that Boston still got blown out despite Draymond being in foul trouble and Steph failing to connect from 3 doesn't bode well for them extending the series to 7 games.
Wiggins came out and added a scoring punch to his defense & rebounding. Golden State is dangerous offensively. They can take a close game, and in 3-4 minutes, they’re up 8-10 points. That’s been hard for Boston to match.
Ha! But really Dang it C's... Tatum Al, maybe you need to try to join the Warriors to get a chip. Anyway, hoping this was a growing experience for the Celtics and that they can get back to the finals next year (or sometime in the next few years) with Al but C's could use a true point guard. So many turnovers....
