Not sure who you're talking about but which officers were killed during that? One died of natural causes (a stroke) 8 hours afterwards. How Many Died as a Result of Capitol Riot? - FactCheck.org
Not only allowed I think sometimes encouraged. There was a thread titled Gentleman's club that contained about 8 pages of young ladies. I just visited the site and that thread is still up. Can't link you to it, can't even mention the site name. It was a private site by invitation only and I probably violated some kind of oath of silence by even mentioning it. Even though nobody ever posts there anymore. There are a couple of current too hot posters that were members. I think I will start a thread there and see if anybody answers.
I looked at that other site a few times before the paywall and it was a cesspool and not at all my cup of tea. I can understand why few would pay a fee for access.
Can some moderator tell me how long I've been on TH? I seem to remember clashing with Dave and Bushmaster before W was elected. Very few women back then, I only remember one other. I had another name, "Flakey gator," for a brief period.
“I wonder what he would have thought of the injuries to police officers and the deaths of several related to the mob violence.” That better? Does it make a big difference to the overall point, which was that Louisville was pro police to the extreme?
Those dates aren't accurate for people who've been on GC for the most moons. After the 2nd or 3rd switche in software/host over the past 15 years, I think it set the old salts to 2007, even Solari's (Ray) . I joined in 2009 I think but mine shows 2014, but that's because I changed screen names a few times as there were some issues with one of my accounts.
Unfortunately all of the "joined date" info was lost in the last move to this current software platform and everyone was reset with the same join date. I will check to see if there is any other potential source of the information.
Thanks, OK. I was just curious. I know I remember being flabbergasted (along with River) that some of the Board Pubs thought Bush Jr. got into the Texas National Guard without Daddy's influence.
I’ve been here since 2003 I think. My first posting memory was during that horrible collapse at the UM game in Miami when Berlin beat us.
At one point, GC was affiliated with ESPN and also Rivals, so I don't think any of the joined date info transferred from those companies.
Wasn't GC also affiliated with Scout at one point? I've been here since like 2000/2001 and I feel like I recall that
I don't know if it was Scout or Rivals for sure, I thought it was opposite the one that whorechant was affiliated with but I have slept since then.
Right. I barely can recall what I had for breakfast, let alone random GC stuff from 20 years ago. I remember the ESPN announcement and all the hoopla over getting access to their recruiting resources, and I think free ESPN insider access.
I remember that, and arguing about invading Iraq. Back when we were assured here that Saddam was a Hitler-in-waiting who would take over the world if we didn't act now. When I first joined, it was on some other board and then someone told me that everyone was moving over to another board. This board, I guess. I don't know if it was an exodus like we saw here or if the board itself was moving. You know, when I think about it there may have been more of a sense of community back then. There were clearly more insults and name-calling. Those who say there wasn't are simply wrong. Like I said, today's rules simply don't allow what was happening daily there. It was heavily conservative and I'd periodically get messages from other liberals saying they were leaving and asked how I could put up with the insults all the time. But there may have still been an underlying friendliness. We'd have guys challenging others to meet to fight. But I think there were also get togethers of posters who lived in the same area.
Remember Austin? He scolded me a lot for being partisan, and I'm like, guy, look around! The Board was definitely more conservative (and nasty) back then. Dave especially used to wind me up.
My favorite part of the board in the mid-to-early 2000s was the small but dedicated hardcore libertarian contigent (which I was one of.) If people were dying in the streets due to lack of social services...... well, so be it!
