You guys have elephant like memories. Once someone goes away for a while I tend to forget them. Some of the names brought up here do bring back memories. I remember most of those posters. Sad about the recent deaths. We had a bad run of big time poster deaths over the last several years.
I find that people's forgettability is directly correlated with their name. You dont forget a name like GuyWhiteyCorngood or Chartsandgraphs, however, a name like sas1988 will probably be consigned to oblivion within a few months of you leaving. As will my very forgettable name.
I think we need to compile a list of best (for good, notorious or otherwise) screen names. guywhitecorngood ranks up there @snatchmagnet too @channingcrowderhungry too @RIP too Agree @sas1988 , darthgator (may he RIP) was a great name
For those who are not familiar with the insurrection (exodus), in July of 2018 there was a rash of banings in too hot. A group of more conservative posters felt they were being banned for the same types of things more liberal posters were getting away with. I'm not saying they were or weren't but that was the reason for the exodus. A private web site with no rules was set up by one of the insurrectionists, it was by invitation only. There were no rules, cussing, name calling and even nudity was allowed. That site is still up but hasn't been posted in much at all in the last couple of years, maybe a post a month or so. The intended purpose was if enough people migrated to the new site when football season started GC would feel the hit of less traffic. As football season approached in August 2018 someone at the new sight suggested that we start posting at the more conservative Chatter website. There was some recruiting going on at GC via PM's and the group grew. A year or so ago Chatter made their political board for paid members only. That is when I came back to GC. I just refuse to pay to post on a site. It is not that expensive to run a website and I'm not in the habit of throwing money somebody's way just because they want it. Hey I'm ahead of those guys at Chatter anyway, I won a 60" TV in their pick em pool. Actually first I started posting at the LSU political boards which is very conservative but quickly earned myself a lifetime ban just couldn't see eye to eye with them Tigers so I came back to GC.
Nothing is more suspenseful than when you log in to GC and get the notification that someone MENTIONED you. Could it be good, could it be bad? Did I cross a line? But thanks! For those that haven't heard the story, it's a spinoff of a very old Family Guy joke about Tony Robbins. Tony Robbins Hungry. Tony Robbins Eat!
lulz cch. I only talk about you negatively in pm's I had meant to ask you years ago about your name. Always has been a fav of mine even before I got to know who you were. FWIW, I used to listen to I am Athlete podcast sometimes, at least before Crowder & Taylor left. I think they started a different one now but I haven't looked into it. So many podcasts so little time.
Yeah, I’m drawing a bit of a blank on a lot of these names. Or recognize the name but nothing really about the poster. Actually remember a few if the king ago posters a little better.
