If I thought it was going to be entertaining and knew there was nothing actually obscene about it, I would certainly take my grandchildren. Drag queens are like clowns but a lot less scary.
What ought to be a felony is for a person who is not a police officer, soldier or security guard to openly display a firearm to a minor.
I have never been to a drag show. I could understand more if the objection is about the amount of skin or even sexual language. Parents draw the line in different places; some think it's wrong for kids to be in a Hooters restaurant while others let their kids watch R rated movies. I suspect for many people, the anger or fear about drag shows is about the cross-dressing itself, which I consider a different moral or religious objection.
Idaho legislature proposing a bill making it illegal to put on a public drag "performance". creating cover to raid gay and lesbian bars. Creates potential for Stonewill Riots type "legal" actions by the authorities. Bill prohibiting public drag performances to be introduced in upcoming Idaho legislative session - Idaho Capital Sun
Good grief. The 'family' group claims that the drag show ban is constitutional because the state should promote temperance and morality. Bill prohibiting public drag performances to be introduced in upcoming Idaho legislative session - Idaho Capital Sun
I would have to go to the show/book reading first to see how it is conducted. I seriously doubt there is skin and vulgar language at a drag show that is billed as family friendly. I would never have taken my young children to an R rated movie, which many parents do. My kids saw the Terminator at a friend's house without my permission. I didn't have the parents arrested. This smells of discrimination for LGBTQ+ Americans.
If male performers who dress in drag represent a threat to morality are politicians who hang out with drag queens fit for public office?
Can the Governor send the Florida National Guard to Lebanon? You have to fight them “over there” before they get here
