Mullen beat Georgia but I get your point. I’d still, like a previous poster did, recruiters always can recruit.

Mullen beat a top 10 Michigan team, UGA, Auburn and LSU in his time here.

It wasn't the teams he beat, it was the losses that were troubling. All should have been won by Florida.

The easy answer is under the table, illegal money. But is that really the answer? I just hope they keep losing.

I don’t think it’s any more illegal than what everybody else is doing right now, they just have a bunch of money. Dumbo well probably get it going in the right direction with enough money applied.

Back to final rankings, I just went through the top 300 prospects, sorting out the prospects with majority crystal balls to UF. I can't see the Gators getting less than 13 to 15 four star commits and less than one or two five star guys. In the old days that was good for a top five class. We might not do that well but we might do better. I see at least 20 four star prospects who seem like leans to UF based on the services and what I read on this board.

I believe 13 4 star plus 2 5 star is minimum too 12. Sounds good to me.

If there are 7-8 ranked in the top 100 it could very easily be a top 8 class.

I see six or seven probable commits and two or three maybes. Five of them are in the top 50.

If this isn't a top 10 class it means a lot went wrong.
For it to be a top 5 class, we need Rashada, one of those highly ranked OTs and a highly ranked LB (Bryant).
These are some of the highly rated kids that are showing interest in us (the number is how many I think we'll take in the class).
    1 QB - Rashada
2 RB - Webb, Baxter and a few more
4 WR - Wittemore, Mizell, Wilson and Patterson
    1 TE - Mikeska
5 OL - Pkay, Harris, Lovett, Simmons (we need one of Samson, Mauigoa or Freeling)

2-3 DE - Kelby Collins, Parker, and LeBanc
3-4 DT - Jordan Hall, John Walker, Will Norman and Woods
4-5 DB - McClain, Harris, Gates, Denson and Mitchell
    2 S - Castell and Joenell
3 LB - Bryant, Jordan Hall, Pup Howard
(I bolded those that I think we have a high probability of signing)

Yeah I'm optimistic about a top 5 class. Top 10 is almost a sure thing.

Need a few 5 stars to have top 5 class. TAM, UGA, Bama have signed quite a few of them the last cycles. Only 2 spots left on top 5 usually. I think top 10 is more realistic

I think you're right on the money with that group, though I would add another WR, possibly Jean. Not very optimistic about Parker. The Crystal Ball to UF was just pulled yesterday. Wish we had more pure edge/WSDE/OLB prospects.

The Gators will get at least one, possibly as many as three 5 star commits. Got a feeling Rashada will get a fifth star after the Elite 11 finals and one of those DL prospects could get re-ranked in the top 30 overall. Top 5 or not, the bolded players on Roswell's list would be an epic class.

    And…

Highly rated prospects not previously interested in UF seem to be scheduling visits every other week or so. There's still a lot of mystery in the NIL thing but the quantity and quality of visitors makes me think the staff and the athletic department have this figured out.

I didn't realize the CB for Parker was pulled. I still feel we have a good chance with him and a lot of others on my list that are not bolded.

Just saw that last night. Sounds like the analyst had an oops moment. I'm guessing it's near 50/50 between UF and UGA.

jordan hall committed to Michigan state tonight. Have to admit I was super stoked recruiting would be a massive upgrade moving on from Mullen to Napier. Super long way to go but I’m getting more and more vibes that summer/June 2022 will resemble summer/June 2021 where we have tons of visits by highly rated kids, tons of momentum and talk of an unreal class, lots of hype and crystal balls our way. And then…bubkis. I may need to temper my expectations as it would be more disappointing this year than last year (pre Napier) to not have a stellar close to the summer.

I wouldn't expect anything to be like last year. The recruiting eco-system is entirely different as is our head coach. We don't know what happened with Hall. We might have gotten a silent from a higher rated LB, or Hall was much more important to Michigan State's class than he would be to the Gators. I don't believe for a moment they have more NIL money. Nor do I believe him committing elsewhere indicates anything about how UF recruiting is going at this time.

Michigan State has 9 commits and 3 in the last 4 days for 2023 class. Odd thing about UF recruiting is that we are not yet getting commits immediately after visits and others have had more success after OVs. Hall is originally from VA, so not really ties to Florida other than IMG

The pipeline with Napier is worlds beyond the pipeline that Mullen had. Having said that, I have no idea what our class will look like from a ranking perspective.
