That's it right there. Seeing a hard fought lead and a great comeback out of the losers bracket......evaporate just like that over a mind numbing decision to just leave a guy in who's floundering. It's easier to stomach watching a team beat you without giving them a helping hand. Just inexplicable.
I'm shocked at the coaching errors...walk the hitter to load the bases for an easy force at home or a double play...especially with a pitcher that doesn't have strike out stuff. Then on top of it to not play your infield in...just so many coaching errors that even a high school coach would not make. The coaching decisions at the end of this game are just so bizarre.
About as bad a coaching decision in the eighth that I have ever experienced on the diamond. I too would love to hear why Sully made the decision to ride with a pitcher in the eighth who everyone watching could see was struggling. I understand up through the two run homer, but staying with him after that is mind boggling.
