Does anyone know any other coach/manager that would leave a reliever in to give up 4 runs and 2 extra baserunners without taking him out when the season is on the line other than the Human Rain Relay?
How bad is our offense that we feel like we can’t get 2 runs in 2 innings to tie this up? But that’s how I feel. Hope I’m wrong.
Slater sits and Jameson comes in Men on 1B & 2B / 2 outs B/Ks/F/Kc - Pettis goes down looking 4/4/0/2 OU 5-3
I feel angry. We could have bunted ST and had second and third with 1 out and most likely score two. We leave two arms in the bullpen when it's obvious they have the number of the guy on the mound. This is coaching and a horrible way to go. I hope our PLAYERS can overcome.
Brutal inning. Only reason not to change pitchers sooner is if we had no one left to pitch. Since that wasn’t the case…ugh. Coach really made this harder on the players/hitters than it should be by not pulling Slater faster and giving up the 4 runs.
Nope Slater way too tired to be out there. Why was infield back. Josh easily throws runner out at home if he’s in. You have much fresher arms. Fic, Ursitti, Jameson. And nobody can say Ursitti has only thrown so many innings this year after what Finn did last night.
But there will be people on the board that say or make some excuse as to why Sproat couldn’t throw 15 pitches.
