Biden strongly condemned the lawlessness that broke out at some of the protests.

Or for that matter executive privilege although if I recall the Supreme Court in U.S. v. Nixon held that a claim of executive privilege cannot be used to shield the president against an investigation into criminal activity.

It appears to be established that congressional subpoenas are not worth the paper they are printed on. We shall see about this matter. The entire concept of equal protection and that no one is above the law are in question here. I'm sure Navarro will want to tie this up in the courts for as long as possible to run out the clock. Question is will his homies on the scotus have his back when push comes to shove?

I tend to agree simply because there is a good chance that Navarro as well as the other Trumpers who have been subpoenaed will be able to run out the clock. When the Pubs regain a majority in the House the Committee investigating the events of January 6, 2021 will be dissolved and the subpoenas will go bye bye.

December 13, 2020 Memo from John Eastman to Rudy Giuliani recently released pursuant to the crime fraud exception. It explains why Chuck Grassley thought he would be presiding over the Senate on January 6. It was a preplanned event for Pence to step aside. This is while Eastman states that he was acting as Trump’s attorney.

Check that. Eastman was not the author but he did try to shield it as attorney-client privileged, meaning that he thought it was part of the privilege.

The evidence was already overwhelming, but no one can now say that this was not a preplanned coup. If you continue to either support the actions or do not believe in full justice and investigation, you are essentially blessing a coup in a violation of the Constitution

He will assert this immunity. Be ordered to testify and locked up until he does. While he appeals the absolute immunity assertion. After that is resolved, then he will assert the Fifth Amendment.

Pence's COS notified the secret service on Jan 5 that there was a security threat posed to Pence when Trump would turn on him. I still wonder what would have happened if Pence would have gotten in the car and left like he was being encouraged to by the SS.

Secret Service was alerted Pence was in danger from Trump on Jan 5th: report (msn.com)

According to a report from the New York Times' Maggie Haberman, former vice president Mike Pence's chief of staff sat down with the head of the VP's Secret Service detail on the day before the Jan 6th insurrection to warn them that his boss's life might be in danger.

The report states that Marc Short explained, "The president was going to turn publicly against the vice president, and there could be a security risk to Mr. Pence because of it."
Earlier this week it was reported that Trump had no problems with the crowd who stormed the Capitol chanting "Hang Mike Pence" and the new report indicates that the former vice president and his staff were already worried about what would follow the "Stop the Steal" rally.

According to Haberman's report, based upon her upcoming book due out in October, "Mr. Short did not know what form such a security risk might take, according to people familiar with the events. But after days of intensifying pressure from Mr. Trump on Mr. Pence to take the extraordinary step of intervening in the certification of the Electoral College count to forestall Mr. Trump’s defeat, Mr. Short seemed to have good reason for concern. The vice president’s refusal to go along was exploding into an open and bitter breach between the two men at a time when the pre
